I have always felt the black interiors fit best on the sports vehicle than the beige ones. Beige gives more a formal look.

Congrats PC on purchasing the fiesta 1.6S.

Welcome to the club. You will have an amazing time in this car - trust me. Its a sheer pleasure to drive it. I myself have this car (aquaris blue) and found it better than the Sxi model.

Be it city roads or mountains, its got lots of power and handles perfectly.

And looks wise - it is simply superb. Definetely stands out on the road.

Am not sure how much was the final on-road price for you. But i got mine for around 7.15 (ex-facotry price) and 7.6 on-road (had taken all the add-on features e.g. extended warranty, teflon coating etc). And I had got a corporate discount of 30K and another 10-15K discount for pitching my dealer against a competitor. And after that the car prices had also fallen. So you should have got it cheaper.

Anyway, posting some pictures of my car. Do post yours too.

other than the body kit, interiors, and facia (black not wood paneling) is there any other difference between the 1.6 ZXi and 1.6S?

Specifically - between the engines.

Out of bordem i went across to the ford showroom to test drive the ford, and the 1.6S quite blew me away.

Thanks everyone. I finally settled for the Panther Black 1.6S. It's now around 40 days and already 2400kms old.

Have posted a new thread (with pictures) in the Initial Ownership section.

Thanks once again to everyone who helped me make this decision.

So, it was a case of "Head over Heels" for the Fiesta as compared to the other cars; and "Heart over Head" for the S over SXI.
As for the ride quality, I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it nevertheless considering that I drove a Maruti 800 for 11 years prior to this one and a Fiat before that.
Hi,
I am coming form the same place ! ( Maruti 800 ; next stop Fiesta !)
I guess the stiffer suspension and wider tyres of the Fiesta 1.6 S are meant for better ride and handling at higher speeds.
However, at more sedate runs, the suspension will jar.
The SXi has a softer suspension, and is not far behind the S in handling ( my guess)
As regards chrome OVRMs, I solved the problem by going in for Moondust Silver ( not the ideal solution, but one that is pretty optimal).
As regards interiors, I was totally smitten by the beige and the wood-like console feel... In fact, I had been looking through car's windows for the last three years, and every time I fell for this combination.. to each his own I guess !

the biggest USP of S over other models of Fiesta is its Uniqueness to stand ODD among all, there are many fiestas on road but the S stays apart due to its less presence and sporty exteriors.
