Mileage will highly depend on how you prefer to drive. If driven sanely or in a cruise mode at 100-120 Kph, Altis automatic can deliver 13-15 kmpl on highways.
Similarly for city conditions, I have read owners getting 10-12 kmpl in high traffic conditions. My 8-9 kmpl assumption is based on worst case scenario of Bangalore traffic. In Pune city kind of traffic, Altis can definitely deliver ~ 11-12 KMpl.

Note- I am specifically speaking about Altis petrol automatic.

Got it. First priority for me is defenitely a Manual Transmission. Regarding the speed, i mostly drive at around 100-110kmph when i'm with my family. The mileagee of 10-12 is perfectly fine. Thanks for sharing the details.
