Generally, in terms of automatic boxes:

VW (DSG) > FIAT(sequential manual)> HONDA (torque converter but very good) > Hyundai = Maruti (All CRAP)

Sahil, please note that the Vento AT is a torque converter with tiptronic gearbox, and not a DSG. According to their facebook page, VW does not plan the DSG AT in Vento in the near future.

Just letting you know in case DSG tipped the scale towards Vento.

That sounds like a good choice. You would miss the paddle shifters which the ANHC A/T offers but would gain on excellent VW build quality and better brand image. The A/T option on the diesel Vento would have been so welcome.

The automatic comes only in Petrol.

My bad, am not following Vento that closely, but thought your experience will be more relative and reliable to sales guys here. My friend is in for a change and he wishes to book now to get the delivery next year.

I think VW should have made few sales before they put out the silly adv showing engineers not willing to part with the car. I guess they really do cling, else its a failure on VW management to not have the right forecast sales.

Best of luck with the Vento. Please do keep us posted once you get it.

I may add one bit more - the Civic/ANHC gearbox has torque converter lockup in the higher gears.
