Yup quite right as above. In Europe and in my experience in UK, the insurance company will not insure you if you are under 25(high risk category) and have a sports car(insurance group 20) with no tracker fitted to it.

Sort of related to this thread. You can now buy GPS receivers with inbuilt sim card holders.

You can then send a sms to the GPS receiver and it will text you the cars current location etc back.

I guess you could wire it in permanently and have your very own GPS tracking device. You could get one of those lifetime SIM cards and top up the bare minimum.
