mine was pretty easy. it's part of my company name which was changed over time as the business evolved. we started off as fantasy car audio and accessories and then went to fantasy customs encompassing both custom cars and custom homes. hopefully there will be another evolution soon, something along the lines of fantasy distributors...hasn't been finalized yet.

Mine is a potent combination of my love for anything Apple, our car - the i20, and the fact that my age is 20 (I, Twenty.! ).

My user name was 'inspired' by the endearing and loyal robot R2D2 in Star Wars.

I belong to a generation some members of which overdosed on sci-fi movies and serials of that time, primarily Star Trek & Star Wars whilst in school from the 1970s thru the early 80s.

Regards,

R2D2

My username was inspired from the Gladiator movie by Russell Crowe's monologue speech towards the end. I found it very powerful to listen to. I was totally fascinated by it.

Mindfields - A song by 'Toto'
2112 - An album by 'Rush'
( Both Prog. Rock)

Tried to use Mindfields at first, but was unavailable.
Hence added '2112' as i have a tendency to forget usernames, let alone passwords.

"troublemaker" was the name of my first bike - KB100 (which I loved). I have used this user name on almost every auto forum!

Threw around a lot of variations of automotive terms (most of them were taken), alt. rock bands (not taken, but didn't seem appropriate on a vehicle forum), but couldn't find a decent username. Decided to go with my first name instead... I mean if my parents thought it could work, why not here...

P.S.: The advantage of having a "unique" first name is that I'm almost guaranteed that it is available as a username in most of the forums

My username came about this way. After living abroad for a while, and having to constantly explain the spelling of my name - in NATO phonetic alpahbet, I kind of decided to try the first two characters of my name.
My name is Kilo-Alpha-Romeo-Tango-India-Kilo

Mine was easy. Created a team-bhp Id right after I read a thread on an accident in team-bhp. So chose SafeDrive. Drive safe was too obvious

Seems its time for me to explain my username.

Glomus is a fungus forming symbiotic association with plant roots. I did some research on this during my PhD days, and hence use this user name in most of the forums. Advantage is that not many people use it and every time I can get this user name easily.

With thanks and regards

It's a "cool" corruption of my first name Anoop. At B-school I was the only one without any nickname and friends foisted all sorts on me: Noop, Noopsie, Noopius and finally settling on Noopster. Kinda gained currency during the whole Napster era! It's also my gmail handle.
