Re: How did you come up with your username?

Hi,
my name is Deepak Reddy and I shortened it to look like the japanese performance tuning expert GReddy.
I came across this name on lots of cars whose sole claim of performance tuning was the use of such sticker jobs. I did some research on the net and came to know that GReddy actually means Great Eddy. Found some more info on T-BHP and thats when I decided on the name, even before I joined the forum.

Happy revving,
Deepak.

Re: How did you come up with your username?

That is just how my name is pronounced. Been using it since I was 17.
Thought of using 'Jawa_girl' before I decided on this but then I realised I used to be 'bullet_babe' before that .
The present username leaves scope for 'norton_fiend' so it was the obvious choice

Re: Team-BHP User IDs - How You choose them and what they actually mean?

Mine was selected because I was working with Nissan while joining TBHP. The view from my workstation overlooked a red GTR in the Nissan, Muscat showroom, so went for it.

Initial choice was "VeilSide" but it was taken already.

Sarcar.
Name - Shourya Chandra Sarcar. Father's name Late Monis Chandra Sarcar.

My grandpa spelt Sarkar that way and it came down. Guess I am one of those lucky few who genuinely have a "car" in their name.

Re: How did you come up with your username?

Please enter your desired username: . That is one of the most frustrating questions on any site. This time I decided to go for something plain devoid of complex formulas and hacker language. And so my brain parked at plain.vanilla .. sweet ain't it

Kamal Hans , hence Kamal.
Not very imaginative or intriguing as many others,
but I guess it gets the job done.
I use the same handle in other forums that I'm a member of.

Re: How did you come up with your username?

I used my name followed by my surname...Hence, swarooppatil. Was fortunate for it to be available on TBHP.

Re: How did you come up with your username?

A long time ago when I was in class 8 most of the things i used or heard were micro in nature- microtip pens, microscope, microns, microbes, microparticles and so on.

One fine day emails became popular, micro got added to my name. Hence microaubin. (P.S. with passage of time visually micro has really given way to macro now)

Re: How did you come up with your username?

VW - Clearly refers to Volkswagen, my first car
19d - the reasoning may not be as clear as VW, but refers to the digits of my registration!

I somehow liked it when it was read as vw19d

Re: How did you come up with your username?

My handle here is the same as my car's name... Toothless... inspired by the movie "How to train your dragon" (Toothless is one of the deadliest, scariest dragon in that movie, the 'Night Fury'). As per the movie's wiki, Night Fury dragons are reclusive, analytical, inventive and the most intelligent of the known dragon species.
Thought it would be appropriate for my black Fiesta 1.6Zxi

Re: How did you come up with your username?

If you're thinking I've used the accounting/finance acronym NPV (Net Present Value) that's not the case.
It's simply the abbreivation of my name followed by initials !
