I wish the promotion clock in the companies ticked based on the employees birthday. This ad is creative, but very unrelaistic, or meant for only those few people who move up the corporate ladder this fast.
I do love the VW brand and their cars, though.

sagar - thats a good one!

The new SX4 ad -

The tag line could become - "for the Rowdy inside the man!" - just look at the ad itself - it needs no further modifications.

The guy starts off by being polite and opening doors for people etc etc.

But the minute he gets in his car, he screams past without a care for anyone else on the road or elsewhere!

Stupid ad - richly deserves to be canned and taken off the air.

The earlier SX4 Ad - there the satire could be as follows;

The SX4 screams past the big monster truck and tries to "show him" by executing a 360 deg turn accompanied by 4 wheel drift and much dust being kicked up etc....

Then when the SX4 tries to do a face off with the monster truck, instead of stopping, the truck goes right at the SX4 and keeps going, without stopping.

The play of expressions on the model's face can range from the current smug expression rapidly moving to shock, horror, fear, supplication etc till at the approximate time of impact, it is cut off by white noise!

The company that the kid was talking about was his daddy's company. Unfortunately in India even public companies with a small minority promoter shareholding also operate as you have mentioned.

Other than Infosys, no company comes to mind which is controlled by promoters an DOES NOT have promotion clock in the companies ticking based on the employees birthday.

MRF: "The Tyres We Race are the Tyres You Buy."
Who in their senses would want to buy used tyres -- that too, tyres that have been abused on the race track?

Same VW ADVT but at a BMW Showroom

Kid: Can I book this VW for my 24th birthday when I become vice president.

Salesman: Sorry Sir. Not possible!.

Kid: Can I book this one for my 26th birthday when I become the CEO.

Salesman: Sorry Sir. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY!

Kid (confused and angry): But in the VW showroom they said they can why not you guys???

Salesman: Because Sir, unlike VW we have an active department called Research & Development!!!

Why the hell will one want to buy a 26 yrs old model until and unless he/she is in for antique collection?????????????????

The VW ad of the kid seemed quite strange.

The kid wants to book a beetle costing 20.45 L (exshowroom Delhi) at 18th Birthday
He then wants to book Jetta costing less than 15 L (if I am correct) at 21st birthday.

Why is he going downwards for pricing ? Is it that VW thinks Beetle as an entry car even though it is priced upwards of their atleast one car.

Nope, VW showcased position of the Car, when I am 18 I would rather drive a Beetle than a Jetta right. Its not the cost here but category of the cars which is showcased

Good one. I hate it when some silly chaps pronounce Das Auto as Dus Auto.
