Now all eyes on Saina who took just 39 mins to demolish her Danish opponent in the quarters and is now one win away from a medal and two wins away from gold! It's not going to be easy against the marauding Chinese but more power to her!
Kashyap indeed gave a tough fight in the first set, but in the second set, I personally felt he was in the defensive mode and trying to catch up with the top seed.

Saina is looking promising, but she is up against the 1st seed against whom she hasnt won a single game. Saina is down by 0-5 against her. I really hope she leaves the past behind and comes out firing!

Prayers for Saina. Let's hope she is able to reverse the trend. Let 'law of averages' catch up with the Chinese lady Wang

Narang is on today in the 50m rifle event (not his specialty though). Is this a medal event today or just qualifiers?

Heard Gopichand saying that the authorities pushed aside the suggestion to change the format during the captains' meeting

Yes a medal from an unexpected quarter. Congrats Vijay Kumar

Was just watching Veronica Campbell-brown in women's 100m heats. Fell in love with her. What a graceful athlete. Sprint events are still my favourite!!

re: Olympics 2016

Can you please post the timings for the 100m event? I'm wondering how I missed to watch the 100m heats yesterday.

re: Olympics 2016

I don't remember the timings - but just that except veronica all were 11+ seconds. Watched only this one and the other one where Allyson Fellix was there, where in spite of a blunder start, she came first

Today we have the 100m men's. All the big shots in the field today, and it is a Saturday night. Yipeeeee!!!!

re: Olympics 2016

Was watching women's weight lifting today. It wasn't by choice, that's what they were showing live when I tuned to ESPN HD Live.

Anyway, I saw the Olympic record for snatch being broken 5 times back-to-back. The last two were World record too. Most of these gals weighed over 100kgs and the winner lifted 151kgs.
