Today I made my first purchase on Amazon.in site, the Nokia Lumia 720 mobile phone and the case to go with it. The phone was 2K cheaper than in Flipkart.

I am a non-stop Amazon.com customer since 1997. In fact, I have used it 10 times more than any other online site, could be higher. Thrilled to see it in India.

Congrats Samurai on the WP8 from Finland. Has Flipkart dropped the price since then? I see 15749 for 720 (Black) in Amazon and 15674 for the same in Flipkart. The base price of the phone is higher in Amazon and so is the discount.

Flipkart is flipping their price by the hour, yesterday it was 17815. Now I see 16499 in Flipkart for 720. Yesterday I saw 22.5K for Galaxy S3 for an hour, then it moved to 24.5K, so they are unpredictable.

Flipkart prices are changing every few minutes. I am seeing 16,499 right now.

From what I see, the base price is constant for the 720. It is the offer that is flipping. Earlier it was 5% discount on the phone and now its interest free EMI.

I have a 1.5K coupon for Flipkart and this confusion is adding to my 620/ 720 dilemma.

Oh my god! I already got one package, they delivered the item 22 hours after I ordered it. It was delivered by Amazon courier. They don't use third party shipping company, they have built their own courier system.

The package I got was the mobile phone cover, the phone is yet to be shipped. They not only got my signature, but asked me to sign on their mobile screen using my finger. That didn't work very well, I guess they are still working on that one. I quickly ran to the computer to check the shipping status, it was already updated. Even though it was a 299 bucks item, the shipping was free, for now.

Now I am awaiting the phone itself.

Edit: It just got shipped, should be here tomorrow.

Yes, it is fulfilled by Amazon, even though the cover was sold by Fommy and Mobile by Univercell.

Flipkart, as thought earlier, wasn't bought by amazon. It was bought by another GIANT..in time you'll know. Online shopping will become way of life, you just wouldn't believe if I told you that we buy everything online.

And yes, smilies will be called E-emojis

and you will have more RAM in your mobile phone than your PC.
