Hope some info about him is found soon. But sad state of affairs in India. One can get away with anything if they have money and/or contacts.

Link is indeed working. I've signed it. I'm concerned that a person is missing and the culprits can get away with such impunity, whatever their domestic squabbles may be. It is widely known that women exploit dowry laws to their advantage.

I do find a lot of loose ends in the online complaint.
  • The guy is missing for 6 months (as per the complaint); hasn't the family reported the incident to the superior officers?
  • Inspite of taking a media help to reach out to ministers or (D)IG levels in police, why are they raising an online petition?
  • SMS can be retrieved by the cyber cell (as far as I know). Nobody needs to present original sim card / device for that. I believe it can be retrieved even those are deleted.
  • Can't the family go to human rights commission if they think justice is denied?
  • There is also a mention of a document being written by the guy before he disappeared and the wife/family destroying it. How would these people know about it?
Edit:: Signed the petition anyway since finding the details of the missing guy or himself is of utmost importance, especially since he is a part of the t-bhp family.

I interacted online with him - he seemed to be a nice guy! Feel sad for him. Hope that he is fine!

The family seems to have raked up the issue earlier as well:

They have done all possible research like even astrologers:

Signed it. hope the police are able to get to the bottom of it soon. It sounds strange that a person has gone missing from his home when both his wife and mother were there and there is no clue for the last almost an year

Re: BHPian Lordofgondor missing - Please help

I met Abhinav and his wife during one of my trips to Himachal 2-3 years back. In fact, we had lunch at one of the HPTDC hotel on our way back and both seemed like a happy couple at that time.

From my limited interaction with Abhinav, during the trip and through his PMs, he seemed like a really nice guy.

I remember his new Safari getting stolen and then he waited for a year or two and bought the Storme. He was most excited for his Ladakh trip, the travelogue to which is still incomplete I guess.

Hope he's found soon.
