Hi all
This is a fantastic thread. Was just browsing the forum and came across this thread. Though I was always interested in Scale models but did not know any online place where I could post my queries and share my views. I think that now I have got the most appropriate place.
I have not gone through the complete thread but will definitely go thru it when I get the time.

They have a decent collection. Didn't buy anything myself cause I was looking for a DIY Ferrari 430 and they didnt have one. Theres a Ferrari F50 DIY kit though. Pretty cheap at Rs 650 odd (Maisto)

Guys the shop which desideep and markiv are referring to is called "Maya Toys" in Aurobindo market. Its very famous and when driving on your way from under the IIT flyover towards AIIMS (though you do not have to go that far) it is visible on your left hand side(from the main road). Bought a couple of scale models from them myself. (will definitely post the pics soon)
Did a google and found the following address
Maya Toys
11/16
Aurbindo Palace Market
110016
Maybe it helps. Also they have 2 shops in the same market.
Other places where I have seen scale models (though the collection is not as vast as Maya Toys) are at a couple of the Malls at Rajouri Garden (Lifestyle and also at the Shoppers Stop).
Keep up the good work

Guys saw this at the Le Meridien, Delhi in their wash rooms on the ground floor.
The bad picture quality is because it was taken by my camera phone (Nokia 9500) which has the most hopeless camera there is, but thought this is a nice idea to display cars

Cyrus, I seen a lot of the pimped Maistos at Shopper's Stop in Inorbit. Sadly, none of them were in kit form. If they werent so expensive, I would have got some of them and used the parts to modify some of my normal cars. Modelart used to have some of the Proridez(?) in kit form. Now there is no sign of Modelart anywhere and they have still not reopened in the mall.

i went to shoppers stop today..and their collection is slowly depleting...
wel except for a few...also there is a model car sale going on...20% and 40% off on select cars..there was a hot wheels ferrari dino for 900.had onli 750 in my pocket..also there were a few rare kit cars..masito-mustang gt [not the convertible one]...also get a hold of this...YELLOW AND BLACK COLOR ENZO KITS....there was this japanesse tourist who was ther who was asking for a red enzo and i advised him to buy the black one instead and he bought it...believe me that enzo in black was just...amazing!!

but if someone wants to chek out tyhe sale there are big bargains going on..

also there is a suzuki swift sport for 150 bucks..a little smaller don remember the scale but was around 10ish cm long

i am going to pheonix tomm..will chek out stuff there nad give you an update.
