Guys, has anyone made purchases with this site: http://www.collectablediecast.com/
Came across this site which has all the brands under one roof, was thinking if could source through them? |
I have made numerous purchases from them. Its a genuine site & the item is neatly packaged too for shipping. They even offer you option of using UPS as your shipper, which is leagues better than USPS.
So go ahead & make your purchase without hesitation.
I don't know if you will be able to IM me so if you have any questions, post here.:thumbs up

Importing a scale model from US is a sheer waste of money. Try the local mall, or Hamleys if there's one in your city. Availability of 1/24 models is sort of a pain in India. |
Well, i kinda disagree with you on that. Sourcing scale models in India is a pain! Yes, your local malls & Hamleys will stock some, but you will never find anything above a Maisto/BBurago or Welly - all of which sit at the bottom of quality-manufacturers list. Then there's a problem of stocking. The inventory list at Hamley's sucks too, absolutely no 'desirable' models on display.
Now, for those who prefer to choose & buy the likes of Hotwheels/Kyosho/Minichamps/AutoArt etc, importing is the best option. Yes, its costly if you import just one. But if you wait & import in bulk (3+), you get a much better deal as shipping costs go down.
If there's a store nearby that sells these models (like Gift Center in Mumbai), then you are in luck, but then again, they keep a huge margin of profit on every model (many a times their listed MRP exceeds the USD+shipping cost).

Sent you the mail :)
Hey guys. Wanted to know if the Modelart showroom in Mumbai is still open at Inorbit mall. Please let me know if there are any other shops in Mumbai where I can get scale models. Looking for 1:12 harleys and the Ducati Monster 696.
Latest little additions from ModelArt Bangalore Forum.
1. Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce in 1:43 in a beautiful Mustard shade.
2. BMW M3 Sport Evolution 1990 in 1:43 in a lovely bright Fire Engine Red.
Long time its been since I indulged in adding to my collection. Partially because there was nothing available which appealed to my interest in the older classic cars or modern classics even.

Nice ones Shankar; Alfa Romeo looks awesome; conrgats mate:)

Thanks. AutoArt as usual offers top quality scale models. I love their quality and attention to detail, even in such a small scale as 1:43. Well worth the price paid in my opinion.
There is a special offer happening at EXOTO TIFOSI,Dubai.I have attached the price list.enjoy.

It shut shop long back. There are 2 other shops that stock scale models in Mumbai. Gift Center @ Fountain & Automania @ Prabhadevi.
There has been plenty of discussion on it in this thread, so try searching to get more info.

Where is the attachment?
Exoto moved to the new Dubai Mall from the older location in Ibn Battuta didnt it? Last time I was there I visited and managed to grab a few small older Lancias and Ferraris of different types in the 1:43 size.
Unfortunately this new shop is also much smaller than the old one was.
Is there only one location there now?
This is a 1:18 Maserati GranTurismo.
Brother is a big fan of this car, so I got this for his birthday. Had it imported from the states because it isn't available here easily.
