1. This is Jesse Mach, an ex-motorcycle cop, injured in the line of duty. Now a police troubleshooter, he's been recruited for a top secret government mission to ride Street Hawk -- an all-terrain attack motorcycle designed to fight urban crime, capable of incredible speeds up to three hundred miles an hour, and immense firepower. Only one man, federal agent Norman Tuttle, knows Jesse Mach's true identity. The man, the machine, Street Hawk
2. KITT : Knight Industries Two Thousand
Hydra Schmidt Coupé from Captain America
Although it doesn't qualify as a movie, but my favorite vehicles are those from the cartoon series 'Swat Kats: The Radical squadron'.
I specifically like their tow-truck which they modify for emergency. A flick of a button and it coverts into 'Thunder Truck', the boring speedometer converts into a cool MID and the thrusters that pop out from the rear still gives goosebumps.
Anyone who has seen that episode will surely remember that transformation :)
I will be hitting 30s next year and I still watch the series with the same child-like excitement ! :)

Didn't have to think twice about this.
Timeless classic. The white 1970 Dodge Challenger from
Vanishing Point (1971).

The Swat Kats plane was my favourite as a kid! I just looked at the image now to remind myself and it looks nothing like I remember :uncontrol It was a badass plane. I also liked the seaplane Baloo flew in 'Tailspin'.
Fell in love with these guys and hope to realise the dream some day...

I would love to drive these 2 cars from fast & furious 2 & 5 respectively
Lancer Evo & Dodge Charger

Steve Mcqueen Bullitt Mustang for me.
The chase between the Charger and the Mustang was touted as the worlds best car chase by Jeremy Clarkson.

1. 1976 Lotus Esprit Series I, The Spy Who Loved Me

2. Racer Motors Mach 5
This doesn't even needs a introduction. The dream car of childhood.

3. All the bat mobiles, obviously, starting with Ben Affleck's
Because that's the one which comes closer to the batmobile from Arkham Knight, the game.

4. Ferrari 312T2, Rush
With Nikki Lauda's setting of course otherwise and i am quoting here, "It's a piece of Shit".

Brilliant Post, By the way.
What a great thread!
I'd love to get my paws on the gorgeous 930 type 911 Turbo 3.6 driven by Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in Bad Boys (1995)
The baddie's AC Cobra was equally tasty:
Oh, and remember the movie Rogue Assasin, starring Jason Statham and Jet Li. The Spyker C8 driven by Li is as exotic as it gets:

Let's just say, that I have a thing for women who can handle big machinery!
So much love for all the beauties and the beauties that they drive! :)
1. Gal Gadot's Ducati Streetfighter from Fast Five

As for chase sequences, stunt driver Bill Hickman who drove Steve McQueen's car in
Bullitt (1968), also drove Gene Hackman's car in
The French Connection (1971).
The catch?
The whole chase sequence was filmed directly on New York City's uncleared streets during peak traffic hours!
Plenty of unsuspecting drivers and pedestrians were caught unawares and became a part of movie history.
Quote:
The car chase was filmed without obtaining the proper permits from the city. Members of the NYPD's tactical force helped control traffic. But most of the control was achieved by the assistant directors with the help of off-duty NYPD officers, many of whom had been involved in the actual case.
The assistant directors, under the supervision of Terence A. Donnelly, cleared traffic for approximately five blocks in each direction. Permission was given to literally control the traffic signals on those streets where they ran the chase car.
Even so, in many instances, they illegally continued the chase into sections with no traffic control, where they actually had to evade real traffic and pedestrians. Many of the (near) collisions in the movie were therefore real and not planned (with the exception of the near-miss of the lady with the baby carriage, which was carefully rehearsed). The car crash during the chase sequence, at the intersection of Stillwell Ave. and 86th St., was unplanned and was included because of its realism. The man whose car was hit had just left his house a few blocks from the intersection to go to work and was unaware that a car chase was being filmed. The producers later paid the bill for the repairs to his car. |
