Team-BHP Blood Donor List

A friend of mine needs some information regarding blood. His relative needs a high quantity of blood.

There are 2 ways to get blood:
1. Obtain from known friends and relatives willing to donate
2. Obtain from blood bank or unknown donors

What my friend wants to know is that if fresh blood is sourced from unknown donors, whether the same blood (after performing tests) is given to the patient, or that blood goes to the bank and bank provides stored and tested blood for the patient ?

I hope I was able to explain properly.

AFAIK, its almost always
