Monafood on MG road was quite the expert in this area. I havent been there of late, so no idea if the quality is maintained

Dilli something in Kothrud (near Joshi railway museum) makes good pindi chole but I dont remember if they have any bhature on their menu

Any experience with Rastafa which has opened near Pashankar Showroom on NH4 bypass. Saw this place during commute times and it looked quite stylish from the outside.

^^I was about to mention Monafood too, but I personally did not find the chole to be that great at all (more hype than anything - as is usual with Pune food joints)

A few weeks back I had dinner at 121 Barbeque Kitchen near the Hinjewadi flyover. Food was nothing great although there were some really good reviews at zomato. Only benefit was they give 1+1 drink free and 15% discount on food as we entered the restaurant before 8pm.

We started with soup which was too salty and had to be changed, the crispy potatoes' were only mildly crispy, prawns & fish was so-so. For dinner we had dal khichdi as all of us were stuffed by then and it was the most decent dish off all that we had.

There was a live singer there and the music is too loud to have a decent conversation, so if you are going to have a chat, avoid it totally.

All in all, I think it's a place that should be avoided.

Ok, so couple of weeks back we went to this restaurant called farmville garden restaurant on Sus road. After the bridge over the bypass you go further towards Sus, first you pass by Audi service center/Harbinger group/Alfa Laval building on your right and DC showroom on left. Just less than 500 meters ahead there is a road going up the hill on left. On that road is this restaurant. Its pretty hidden from sight so one will need to use maps.

The restaurant gets top marks for the location. You get good view from top. Food also is not bad if you are fine with vegetarian stuff. All in all a good place. :thumbup:

The hill is VERY VERY steep! Also, the approach road is quite narrow!

The steep approach road to this joint, is opposite a brownish, 10-12 storey building, which is near the DSK project.

Thanks for your suggestion mate. I know what you mean, having lived in Delhi for a while, our taste buds are accustomed to a very high level of awesomeness where food is concerned :D

Been to Mona Foods multiple times but I am not a fan of the place. But having said that, it is still one of the few places where you get decent Chole Bhature.

Absolutely!! This place is perfect if you just to chill for a long time because of the spectacular view. It used to be a very popular hangout when we were in college. The food is average but we didn't bother too much because the restaurant guys let us sit there for a long time even after we were done with our food lol:

Looking for two things:
1. Excellent poha
2. Ice gola

Location preferred within 10 KM of Yerwada.

no idea of places near Yerawada but if you don't mind coming to city area, there are plenty of places which can be rec'd.

Dunno anything within 10KM of Yerawada,

but for good POHA you can try Amruteshwar or Jai Ganesh snacks at Nal Stop. They open at 4am.

for the GOLA, you can try MANSI GOLA on Bajirao Road. Its a small cart on the side of the road. He serves one of the most amazing Malai Gola after Juhu Chowpatty stupid:.

Mahanaaz samosas are available in the Taboot street. The lane behind Budhani wafers. Still the same. :)

If anyone on looking for budget options in Viman Nagar, here is my take -

- Aroma (Opposite reliance fresh beside Nescafe joint) - Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Bhoona and Chicken Adraki with Garlic Nan (Tried various dishes and found these best) a very VFM place.
- Moga - All veg items
- Rasoi - You will find all student crowd with price conscious people, you will find some good egg bhurji and all kind of paranthas.
- Sandwich stall beside Hotel Krishna veg - Serves nice sandwiches (My pick - Garlic cheese, Honey cheese and baked beans)

For ice gola, do try Cafe Sno Biz on the NIBM road that goes to Undri (maybe > 10 kms from yerwada). They have an imported machine which shaves the ice so fine that it feels as soft as a tissue. And 15 odd flavours. They also serve granitas and some snacks.

Anyone knows if any Asian restaurants in Pune have live teppanyaki counters ? Been waiting for one for a long time.

Not sure how it is but I saw a hoarding at Four points by Sheraton (Nagar road) that mentions teppanyaki
