Has anyone tried Buyhatke.com? It seemed interesting and I added the browser extension. So when I was searching for HTC One M8 prices across Amazon & Flipkart - it gave me a popup - "Great deals found and savings of XXXX" - I check that link and the being sold on ebay is listed as defective!
Tried similar phones and almost all of them pointed out bad results. I have promptly removed the addon!

Ugh. Quite the wrong thing to do. :-)
If you want a good price comparison experience, try zopper.com - it has prices from even B&M stores. Quite useful, especially when used from your mobile ("available at Rx. X in portal.com, but at Rs. Y at store S about 3 km from your location").

The other option is to observe over a period of time. I read somewhere that on Amazon, if you leave the items in the basket for a week to 10 days, you may end up getting some discount voucher or coupon from them to push you to complete the purchase.
I'm guessing, the change in price is also built on a similar algorithm which analyzes number of visitors, page hits and prices accordingly. I wont be surprised if the cookies on your PC/ browser history also have anything to do with it.
I have seen prices dropping when the stock is falling short too.
Strange I can't find the the email id of amazon.in? Any one knows?
I just wanted to mail them a snap of the item received before initiating a return. Should I reply to <order-update@amazon.in>?
Just log in to Amz.in, go to "Your Orders" and you'll see an option to return the item.
I bought an item from a 3rd party at Amz.in and was shipped the wrong item. I did a web chat, and the vendor contacted me within a couple of hours to resolve the issue.
IMHO, No need to send them pics.
Am viewing CNBC AWAAZ as I write this, and they just announced that Mahindra Scorpio will be available through Snap Deal pretty soon. Just pay INR 20000 upfront, online, and then visit the showroom for paperwork
Might be old news for some, but I am not sure whether to put an Exclamation Mark or Full Stop to conclude the para above!!

Amazon allows return if one does not like the purchased stuff as also if an incorrect item is delivered, do not see this mentioned in the Advantage.
In other news, I got a call from Amazon on Thursday, inviting me to a "Customer Event". I initially thought it is because I am the primary contact for an AWS account that is billed several thousand dollars every month, but no - this is for amazon.in customers. :-) It is an event to commemorate their first year of operations in India. Unfortunately it is on a date when I have another engagement (September 28 at Vivanta by Taj in Bangalore; lunch is included) so had to take a rain check.
Any feedback on Grabmore.in?
FlipKart simply copies most things Amazon does and brings it to their customers.
They say imitation is the best form of flattery.
I think that as a "Desi" Amazon they are doing a wonderful job and I like them also a lot.

I was browsing for some external HDD's and was surprised to see a huge price difference between the Amazon and Flipkart prices. For a 1 TB HDD, the difference is almost rs 600-800. And this seems to be the case for the same models for different brands eg WD, Toshiba etc.
What could be the reason?
