Yes bro, I know about this (in fact had experienced this ) but I was not talking about being stuck. I was talking about people who were out of the building and would have had to take the stairs for their homes.

One of my friend missed his MHT-CET exam (exam for getting admission into engineering colleges in Maharashtra) as there was a powercut at his exam center. His exam is now rescheduled.

Hopefully, their building/society will have diesel generator based backup for essentials like elevator. If not, then any one outside and needing to go back to one of the really higher floors will be royally screwed!
