Four different sparks at the same time i believe.
Hey Jaggu,

I stand corrected, not 4 sparks at the same time, but neither does it exactly "alternate" between the 4 electrodes, the spark being electricity just chooses the shortest path to travel. As the electrode of choice gets "eroded" over time the length the spark has to travel to that electrode increases and hence the spark travels to the next closest grounded electrode, and this continues.
Seems good in theory...but as i said i dont think they are the best choice for common applications...

cheers

Bosch Super 4 W 78 pack says: Optimum performance and improved efficiency through surface-air-gap technology. The plug itself chooses the best route for the spark to ensure safe ignition.
Don't hold me responsible. It's there in the pack.

Exactly what we are saying, except the "plug" doesnt choose the best route...its more like the electricity chooses the best route

basic principles of electricity - it always takes the path of least resistance.
