Sachin cuts the Indian Flag (Cake)

Our own dear Sachin, ignorant to the core of the national values allegedly cutting a cake with the Indian tricolour. If this is true, has all the endorsements & fame made him blind to the simplest ethic of being an Indian ?

Shocking ! But what else do you expect ? Sachin must have been paid a fortune (i am guessing ) to come to the party.

About the diplomat - the less said the better.

they have already done so. All morning news session have discussed it to death.

first things first . . .this is SHOCKING, HORRIBLE and the people behind this shoudl be TOUGHT a lesson,
but by 'targetting' sachin . . . i don't think we are being fair.

if read properly there was the WHOLE Indian Team there, with the Indian High Commissioner to Jamaica. When the whole LOT was there . . . we are UNFAIR 'targetting' Sachin. General Anger is Justfied as they have really really played HORIBLY during the world cup, but i think this is a 'stand alone' incident.

People acc. to me who should be punished.
1) THE GUY WHO THOUGHT (made and conceptualised) ABOUT THE CAKE BEING AS THE INDIAN NATIONAL FLAG.

2) THE INDIAN HIGH COMISSIONER

3) WARN OR PUNISH EVERY MEMEBER OF THAT PARTY.

THis does not in any way mean i am supporting Sachin, but i mean to say that targeting him ALONE is not justfied.

headlinesindia.com is cashing on the footage they are getting. Pictures have been watermarked ( exclusive ). I have never seen any news website doing so. They are going tehelka.com way.

There needs to be a scapegoat, obviously sachin will get away scott free.

at the risk of facing a whole lot of brickbats, has anyone stopped to question why exactly this is such a big issue? If you are allowed to paint the flag on various parts of your body, what's the big deal in having a tri-coloured cake? Why do we love to blow these things to levels it needn't reach.

We love to take isolated incidents to these levels, I guess subconsciously hoping it will take the focus of larger, more important issue's.

The idea is desecration of the national flag. You do not desecrate it by painting it on your faces or arms or legs, but you do desecrate it when you paint it in the unspeakables. We all know what that means. A public personality in a public function has to be more aware of his actions than the aam junta (man, am i good in hindi or what).
