Happy Vishu! And Baisakhi, Bihu, and all other harvest festivals

Happy Vishu to all fellow Mallus here in the forum. May this be the first day of a year filled with Prosperity and Happiness.

To the uninitiated, Vishu marks the day the earth starts its revolution around the Sun as the first point of Mesha Sankraanthi (Alpha aeries point) according to Ancient Indian Science. Therefore it is the start of a New Year.

It is also the harvest festival for the 2nd crop if you are agriculturally inclined.

Day one of the year was Yesterday, but planetary positions relating to the start of the earth's revolution were aligned later in the day (after a certain point in time the celebrations are moved to the next day).

For all others, Happy Baisakhi, Bihu, Bengali New Year and any other such celebration.
