Unfortunately, I think the answer is yes. DCEite or Steeroid or someone else may write the same sort of stuff, but it wont generate 4 pages of discussion here.

I saw the title and was amused - foreigners have been driving M800s for year. Foreigners from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and some other countries.

What the title means however is 'White Man drives M800'. White man drives a Japanese car in India and half of India gets worked up over the reviews - get a life! This is worse than the Shilpa Shetty kiss.

Yes the fact is that what the gora has written is TRUE. The fact is that we are a very complacent bunch of people who think everything we have is the 'best', shutting our eyes and refusing to acknowledge reality.

The fact is also that this trait is not going to disappear just because a few guys here write about a gora's writing. We're still going to be the same self-justifying, self-aggrandising people that are outraged at everything a white man says about the country.

Get back to work, all of you. Bury this topic somewhere deep and forget about it. Then drive home through your cow-dung infested roads full of pan-spitting autorickshaw drivers and watch people defeacate in public, secure in the bliss that our outraged patriots will never allow a kiss in public as long as the people kissing are newsworthy.

Why flame the poor gora? He's just telling it like he sees it. There are people on this forum, educated car enthusiasts, DBHPians and moderators even, who drive without the use of side mirrors. But when this poor fellow points out the lack of mirrors on his car, we get all sanctimonious.

You want to look better, stop throwing your cigarette butts around. Stop spitting in public. Find a trash can for your packet of Lays. Segregate your waste. Until then, don't moan that some white guy makes fun of us. We're quite a riot anyway.
