Any of you watch Crime Patrol ? It's one of the better series on Indian television. The episode on this Friday and Saturday (contd) were awesome.

You can check them out on the Sony channel on youtube

Very well done !!

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1 = Disappointing.

But then, maybe I expected too much.

I'm currently watching 'Siya Ke Ram', aired on Star Plus daily at 8pm.
There is something about Ramayan that draws me to it. I had also watched the one on NDTV Imagine where Gurmeet Singh was Ram.

Have also started watching (downloaded episodes of) 'Better Off Ted' recently, after it was recommended by a friend.

This is the first season which is ahead of the books so it would be a testing time for the show creators as well. I wasn't too impressed either with yesterday's episode. In every season few episodes seem to be a dud while others are exciting and big budget. If I remember right the first 3 episodes of season 5 were really boring as well.

A great relief! - I wasn't keen on dropping a brick, but seeing a mention of Hindi serials (Crime Patrol, VOI....) I felt it safe to dive in!

For addicts of regional fare - Bengali in our case - I find the recent crop on Zee Bangla refreshing. "Goyenda Ginni", "Ei Chheleta Bhelbheleta", "Amar Durga"
and a couple of the reality shows too ("Dadagiri" with Sourabh Ganguly as anchor and "Ranna Ghar", a culinary show) all seem to have pressed the right buttons with audiences.

For Probashi Bengalis like us (born & bred died-in-the-wool UP-ites), who are re-discovering the joys of our cultural fare, all of the above comes as a
breath of fresh air - well-removed from the "narrow, domestic walls" of traditional family soaps of the saas-bahu genre!
Well done Zee Bangla!

So true
would rate it 2.5 / 5 or maybe 3

Hope the rest of the season gets better

Here's my list of the shows i watch/watched. All are American/British sitcoms most still running some ended a few years ago. Only posting the really good ones.

Blindspot
Orange is the New Black
LOST
Bates Motel
American Crime Story
American Horror Story
How to get away with Murder (Yes it's a title namelol:)

Off late have started with Mad Men a slow classy take on the booming American tv ad/commercial industry of the late 50s.

Other notable mentions...
If you are into watching sitcoms in English and are into thrillers go for Black Mirror a bunch of twisty thriller tales on the misuse and rising threat of future technologies controlling our lives

I think among British sit-coms (my own preference - American sit-coms are OK too, but too loud at times) one could safely add:

1) Yes, Minister
2) Yes, Prime Minister
3) To the Manor Born
4) Are you being served
5) Some mothers do 'ave 'em!
6) Fawlty Towers

Have started watching "Shark Tank", on TV and on Youtube, Absolutely Fantastic! Must Watch.

I've watched couple of shows in my spare time
Lucifer
Dexter
It's always sunny in Philly
Flash
Arrow
Game Of Thrones
The Big Bang theory
Boston legal
Suits
White collar
List goes on and on :)

Only a list does not help anyone. There has to a review, or at the very minimum a rating for the shows that you've watched.

I remember watching bits and pieces of Will Smith's sitcom - "Fresh prince of Bel-Air" during my school days when it was shown on Ch33 in Dubai. Many years later, the entire sitcom series is available on Netflix with much better quality. I'm more than half way into Season 1 now.

What i like is, clean humour, and family safe - considering our daughter watches along with us.

Shows watched/watching currently:

1. GOT - Don't think I need to say much about it. A solid 5/5. Its EPIC lol:
2. Arrow - I find it kind of an attempt to plagiarize BATMAN. Never the less the whole vigilante thing always attracts me and the gadgets are kinda cool. Oliver and others are pretty likable as well. Not the WOW factor I get watching BATMAN but its a decent effort. At times its bollywood-ish. 3/5

3. Flash - Similar to arrow. Slight overlap they(Arrow & Flash) have among themselves in few episodes . 3/5

4. Quantico Season 1 - Started off nice but became kinda predictable later on. One time watchable for our Desi-girl clap: 3.5/5

5. Marvel's Agents of Shield - Awesome presentation. Larger than life setup works. 4/5

6. Gotham - Lovely retro setup. Jim Gordon is like any bollywood hero(Cop) fighting against all odds. Bruce Wayne is all over the place. And that's about it. 3/5

That's all I can remember for now.

P.S : And yeah GOT season 6- E01 was seriously sad. Was expecting more.

Finished watching Shetland (season 3).

More or less a police procedural but the locales makes it engaging. The difference in season 3 is that it has been bitten by the broadchurch effect. Same murder case is solved in 6 episodes unlike the previous seasons.

for the sake of variety, started watching a british sitcom: I Want My Wife Back.

It stars Ben Miller (he was Rowan Atkinson's side kick in the Johnny English movies). Good one to pass time.

Waiting for BBC produced SS-GB the tv series to start on air.
