Hannibal

I admit, i am no fan of gore and horror. However, the first 2 seasons of this show managed to keep me intrigued. I cant say the same about Season 3. I absolutely lost interest, and it also managed to massively bring down my opinion of the entire series. Wifey is still continuing to watch Season 3 in an attempt to complete it, but i have given up.

Am i the only one with this opinion?

Rating : **

The Head - Rate is 3.75/5
Platform: Hotstar
A whodunit set in Antarctica with good, tight story line and decent acting. Just 6 episodes hence perfect for a binge :D

Tiny Creatures - Netflix
Rating 4/5 for the idea and presentation.

It is not the usual Wildlife documentary that you see on Nat Geo or Animal Planet.
Here all the animals are actors and are acting in context to an elaborate scripted story.

Real Animals, Excellent photography and an interesting tale spun around each episode . :D
Definitely worth a watch.

Thanks for sharing.

There's a very famous X-Files episode that deals with a similar problem (whodunit) statement in Antarctica.

Of course, that was one single episode and the cause of the killings was.... intriguing! :D

It's a good show. Starts quite well however loses some steam in the middle. Ends on a good note. People shouldn't expect something like Suits as this is a dark and serious tone series.

I keep recommending this show to everyone who is interested in police dramas. Certainly in my all time top five. Eagerly waiting for sixth season.

Latest season wasn't so engaging. More off like an ok watch just because you follow the series.

You are not alone. I saw the first two seasons couple of years back and recently finished the third season. It's a massive dip in quality. Few days back read somewhere that they are renewing the series with a season 4.

This was a surprise package. Started it with low expectations and it was really good. The end twist was unexpected.

I don't see season 5 of 'Line of Duty' on Netflix India!

But didn't Hannibal end in such a way that there is no scope of next season.

Watched "The 100" on netflix.

It is a post-apocalyptic series taken exceedingly well. The start is a bit slow in season 1 but the remaining 7 seasons are nail biting. The climax is two episodes away and hoping to finish it by August 20th.

Primarily filmed in Canada, the filming will put some movies to shame !

A few adult and gory content in some episodes makes it not to watch with kids.

+1 to that, In fact i found myself rooting for the little guys and sometimes the predators since the little guys were actually acting like pests. I would rather go a step ahead and say that it must be shown to kids as well as it has some moral lessons too packaged very cleverly.

PS: The whole series was shot in the director's backyard over the course of lockdown. :Shockked:

It's quite decent, and Rose Byrne is absolutely adorable from 13 years ago.
Stars her and Glen close, who's brilliant as usual. It's a legal drama, with the main string in one whole season being one case, with developments on the side throughout.
It's very interesting and engaging, much more serious in its tone as compared to anything else.
4/5

I loved Damages, when I watched it a long time back. Rose Byrne is one of my favourite actress. She is great in whatever roles she does (especially Sunshine and 28 Weeks Later) .

Has anyone watched Season 3 of High Seas/ Alta Mar ? I liked the first 2 seasons and am waiting for my calendar to free up, to watch the new season :-).
By the way, the actress who plays the main role in this series, is the little girl who played Ofelia in "Pan's Labyrinth" .

Any views on the Turkish Diriliş: Ertuğrul series?

The Guardian says it's the 'Muslim Game of Thrones' and gives it quite a good rating/feedback. Decent rating on IMDB but nothing on Rottentomatoes so hence this question here.

This is a 10 episode basketball documentary on the legendary 3-peat repeat by Chicago Bulls.

I just finished watching this and it is terrific. It is very Jordan centric (of course) and some of his teammates like Pippen get a raw deal. However there are some brilliant passages in the documentary. Especially the parts where they embrace Rodman's eccentricities and just let him be.

Everything feels so real. No one holds back, especially Jordan who comes across as a tyrant with a fierce will to win. You are just left in awe of his work ethic, his mental strength and his single minded focus. I would highly recommend this miniseries.
