I'd say it is correct English Idiom.

"Oh, I almost forgot..."

or "Oh, I nearly forgot..."

This I agree with.

This seems to imply that there is more than the one alphabet in the English language.
I would say: "The English alphabet is comprised of 26 letters".
Somehow, "the English alphabet comprises of 26 letters", sounds 'not quite right'.

In which case that sentence (Sam is the ultimate ICE gal!) should never have seen light of day. The fact that it did only establishes that the thought was 'nearly' or 'almost' forgotten, but not quite; it was remembered 'just in time' to not have to suffer that fate!

Please be so kind as to correct me if I'm making a mistake somwhere. (Hmm.., I wonder if this is correct turn of phrase)!

It was intended in the best spirit of humour that you make everyone aspire to. Obviously it misfired.
As per currently accepted practice in usage, it was my bad.

That should be "My bad", and not "it was my bad".

"My bad" isn't correct English. And even if used, it is used as a milder form of apologizing, something less serious than even a "Sorry". In situations where one has committed/caused an unintentional error.

Apology not accepted. A fresh one required for failure to see the humour in the above post.

I have seen " My Bad" being used in a lot of sentences. Is it incorrect or can be used?

Granted Sire. While the benefit of the doubt goes to you for the 'so called' (feeble? subtle?) humour in that post, no one in their right mind would wish to incur the wrath of a Yeti, let alone the copyrighted Yeti, or the registered and trademarked one! :)
