It was literal translation of my name and surname combined in Telugu.

So when I registered here I thought handle should be relevant to the automobile forum like TeamBHP, hence I chose RaceHorse.

I only had one objective when proposing my handle. I had to get it in the first attempt. Hated having to do multiple attempts. Saw someone mentioning Bugatti veyron and Petrol head in the same thread and picked my handle randomly from those two words! I also didn't realize the value of teambhp when I joined. Now in the last 10 odd years, there isn't a day that goes by without my visiting teambhp. But my handle sounds so dumb to me now. It doesn't stand for anything. Would jump at an opportunity to change it!

There can be a compromise.

A "Username Change Bonanza" once every 5 years, at the same time for everyone. A restriction can be put such that a once used username cannot be used by another member.
When someone changes their username, the old name will be retired forever (or for 50 years). This will prevent confusions in the future (or during our lifetime).
Even if someone diabolically keep changing their username every 5 years, I don't see a real issue arising from it, other than more and more cool names potentially being retired. But such is life.

All the existing mentions will have to be edited though.

Or, just give one or two opportunities to change it after 5 years and 10 years of membership.

I have voted Yes.

After failing twice, I wanted to become a Team-Bhpian in third attempt. So I chose this Handle to impress the Mods and get my Membership approved at the earliest.

Like many of the fellow bhpians, we too have sold the Car (that had Inspired the respective Handle)- Tata Indigo XL Grand Dicor.

If given a chance, I would change my Team-BHP Handle to my real name.

On a side note I have vowed that Buying a Tata Passenger Vehicle would be the last thing I would do. No offense meant to the Tata Vehicle Owners.

Hence I request Mods to allow me change my handle as I don't want the memories of a Tata Vehicle.

I was always a lurker and never thought about joining the forum. Two of my friends tried registering and could not do it multiple times. They told me getting inside Team-Bhp on the first try is impossible. I was like "challenged Accepted"

So When I did join, that too in my First Attempt , the focus was more on getting accepted and I did not focus on the user name. I wish I had tried to get a unique name related to the auto world.

In the haste of filling out my application, I didn't notice my username which was intended to be Splender Blender exceeded the character limit.
Given the chance I would probably change it to SplendorBlender. It's ought to be quite clear by now that the Splendor we own which is a good part of a devade older than me isn't going anywhere anytime soon (from the garage or the username)

I guess was excited about joining TBHP and did not think through what would happen when I upgrade to a bigger set of wheels.

Till the forum decides to allow change of username, i guess the avatar / profile pic change will have to do.

Got this handle as an XBOX Gamertag auto suggestion back in 2006. Been using it as a username pretty much everywhere ever since. So, if you ever see BraveArc anywhere else, you know it's me.
