What do you guys think?

P.S. Added Austin Powers to the list too!
Jason Bourne is an assassin and James Bond is a spy. Two different things.

Bond

High overhead - expensive traits, knowledgeable on everything and nothing, gets through lots of women. Dependent on unrealistic gadgets and intelligence from hq

Bourne

Low overheads - can sleep in the streets. Manages on few, low overhead women who die on him or he sends off. No gadgets, no intelligence just pure common sense and pure grit.

Two different recipes IMHO

Bourne is a better hunter. Bond is a better killer (Though Bourne started out as an assassin).

Bourne is more believable, despite his bare hands combat skills, which may seem improbable at times.

Bond is too hi-tech and relies on technology which has'nt been invented yet.

Bourne fight sequences are alot better that that of Bonds. Bond cant fight for nut. But bond gets to the some really awesome cars. Whereas Bourne has to make do with Pre-owned or stolen cars.
Bourne it is for me.

Hey if you read the books in both series, you would agree if I say Bourne is definitely the more cold blooded killer.

Bourne also has a sense of mystery that does not surround Bond (in the movies). But in Fleming's novels, the Bond character has an element of enigma attached to him as well.

Bond for me !! His gadgets, his superb attitude and yes, his way with the fairer sex !

He gets the best cars, gadgets and babes. what more do you want ?

And for you guys who think Bond only gets by on stuff which hasnt been invented yet, that is because you are basing your opinions on the movies.

Read the books... his oh-so-cool attitude is absolutely superb.

My favourite book has to be Goldfinger.

SATISFACTION!!! . Yes BOND is never gets satisfied with the stuff, gadgets or babes he is with. No one knows what he needs

I love bond myself but when it comes to choose bourne is a bit better coz he is more thrilling or maybe i liked Sean Connery as bond better than any other BOND and he is not doing BOND movies anymore so bourne it is.

the way Matt Damon has played the characters in the 3 Bourne series movies its awesome

i have watched all 3 few times, but still its way to go for Jason Bourne to match the style, gadgets, gals and overall persona attached with the Bond's character

so Bond for me though its a tough call

No doubt about it, and no second thought.
It has to be Jason Bourne for me.

I may miss a Bond movie, but not one from the Bourne series.
Yet to watch Ultimatum though.

Jason Bourne is my pick. Liked the Bourne series (although yet to watch the third) and most of the action sequences look very realistic. Plus Bourne is all brains and brawn, able to use his skill, brains and training without getting caught.

Bond is more of a showoff although his movies do entertain. I enjoy the cars and the locations. Bond's stunts though, are unrealistic and his image is greatly hyped. Nevertheless a good entertainer.
