Gift Ideas & Suggestions (Birthday, Anniversary etc.)

Hi Friends,

My friends wife needs to give a birthday gift to her Hubby. The budget is about 25,000 and I need to tell her today itself on what she can buy.

Any pointers???

PS: The "Hubby" already has a Ipod and the best gizmos available!. Hence Kindly suggest something novel and unique!

A luxurious weekend at one of the 5-star hotels nearby (or a spa weekend). Only the two of them (if they have kids, leave the kids with friends/parents/aunt/uncle)

If hez a gaming freak -- with that budget go for XBOX or XBOX360 and if he has that already discard and am not sure about other gaming consoles..

For an IPHONE.. its too short a notice i suppose else you can get one of that.

Whats that you are looking for specifically....among gadgets, gizmos, accessories (car, house etc)?

1. A watch like a Tissot, Swatch or something in the same league.
2. A base DSLR like the Nikon D40 with a 18-55 lens. (Nikon Digital Camera Pricelist , Latest Prices for Nikon Coolpix Cameras)
3. GPS reciever like satnav (Welcome to SatGuide – India’s 1st GPS Navigation) or garmin ones (GPS India - GPS, Aviation, Marine, Handheld, Navigation, Binoculars, Compass, Windwatch)
4. A surprise planned trip for both of them, like a weekend getaway to a resort close by.
5. Home Theater System like the Sony DAV-DZ750K.
6. Harmon Kardon Ipod interface for cars. Costs about 8K if I am not wrong. She can club this with a quick trip to some resort close by.
7. A Scheffer pen.
8. 4 Channel remote control helicopter. Might cost almost 25000.
9. A lazy boy chair. He might just get a little lazy and not cope up with her shopping schedule
10.The whole Friends DVD collection, Season 1 to 10 (This is turning out to be my wish list)

These are my top 10 suggestions Hope my wife reads this thread sometime !!

1) A really nice watch.

or

2) A really nice mobile.

Or basically something he wouldn't buy by himself because he thinks it is too expensive, but still pines after. His wife will know what that is.

Between 1 and 2, I'd suggest the watch more, as it will be kept way longer than a mobile. The 25K mobile will be switched in 1 year (at a loss of 10K at least). But the watch will be with him regularly for a few years anyway, and he'll most likely keep it for the rest of his life, even if he doesn't use it regularly. Each time he sees it, he'll remember her love for him. That would be good for her

1) A nice watch (seems to be quite a common suggestion by the guys)
2) Maybe an upgrade on the ipod headphones - Shure or Senn. (assuming he has not done so)

I have a very good idea. Donate the money to the nearest orphanage for kids. And get good amount of kids to her home with flowers and give him sweet kisses and greetings!!!!. May be if the kids can prepare handmade greeting card, they can present it to him as well.
What say folks?
