@NFS2024 - More Pure Veg restaurants:
-Little Italy on 100 feet Road
-Annaporani, 12th Main Indiranagar
-NH8, 80 feet Road, near New Thippasandra Main Road
-Good Luck, Jeevan Bima Nagar Road
-Imli, Indiranagar (near Kairalee Niketan School & Kund restaruant, also close to South Indies)
-Choki Dhani Royal, Inner Ring Road (haven't been here)
How can an italian restaurant be pure vegetarian is beyond me. One of the basic ingredients for pasta is egg. Or do they consider egg to be vegetarian.

Folks - Can you please list out some of the very best " Strictly Vegetarian Only" hotels in Banglore and outskirts?. While am aware of most of the kamat's/adigas/MTR's/ SLVs/Rajdhanis/some breakfast places/24x7 in JP Nagar etc., I wanted to know if i have missed any great place that is pure veg.
Thanks |
You could try Laajawaab. It's pure vegetarian North Indian cuisine. And it's fine-dining!
http://eveningflavors.com/Laajawaab/Bangalore/5179/ :)
There is one in Jayanagar as well (near 4th block next to Meghna's)
Also, try Samrat if you haven't already.
Try Nalapaka - North Karnataka Cuisine.
Try Annabrahmam in Jayanagar 3rd Block. Traditional Shetty vegetarian cuisine (inland, not coastal/Bunt - that would be non-veg). Very simple inconspicuous place, but the stuff is delicious. I have only tried the thali at lunch, and that was really good. It is on the first floor of a stone building that has a cafe on the ground floor and Chung Wah <something> on the second floor. On the road that has the HSBC ATM, on the left while going from South End Circle towards the circle before 4th Block.

Gramin, Raheja Arcade, Koromangala used to be good. However, since last few times I ahve been going to Om, which is right next to Gramin, for the lunch thali. Their chapatis are so soft , thin and fresh, I generaly set them back by atleast 8-10 each time I go there :)

Gramin has lost its taste nowadays. The food is greasy and poor for taste buds.
Om is overpriced if you compare it to Ghar Ka Khana in BTM/ Koramangala 1st Block. GKK is far better both in terms of taste and VFM :thumbs up

Went to NH8 last weekend. I liked it, it's similar to Rajdhaani but a heavier Rajastani influence. We had the lunch thaali and it was very good. Highlights: Dal Bhaati,Kachori, bunch of subzis (Gatte ki subzi, kadi, a baingan preparation which was excellent plus a few others), methi roti, Khichri, malpua, shrikhand and moong dal halwa. It wasn't crowded surprisingly and the ambience was good.
Price: Rs 300 for adults and Rs 120 for kids.
Other Veg recommendations on the south side are 1947 in BSK 3rd stage and Village in Bangalore central.

Several restaurants use eggless pasta, if in doubt ask them before placing the order :D

Yes, this is a good place.
From Ashoka Pillar side, get onto the Jayanagar 3rd block Road, go past Hotel Pai and make a right turn beside Clumax Diagnostics, end of the road is the building on your left.

Guys,
Do we get Jawar Roti meals in and around Frazer Town.? (RT Nagar,Vasanth Nagar,Mekhri Circle Etc).
Please suggest.
Waseem. |
On Dinnur Road RT Nagar at the turn off to Sultanpalaya, next to the park on the Sultanpalaya main road, there used to be a place which used to sell Jawar Roti meals for Dinner (as a takeaway only). Forgot the name of the place, but it is the same shop which sells lots of varieties of homemade pickles. They dont advertise, just ask at the shop (it is not a restaurant)
Information is a little old though. There also used to be another place in one of the byelanes in the area between Ujwal restaurant and Nilgiris on RT Nagar proper opposite the Police station . Sorry cannot t give more precise directions on this one.
