I think we should give the benefit of doubt to the 'we' as well. After all, millions of 'I' when put together becomes the 'we' that 'we' all are discussing in this thread.

When it comes to sex, I don't think those kids in the park are doing it because kids in west are doing it... they are doing it because of their natural urges. Mother nature, or god if you will, created us to procreate and she (he if you will) decided that it be done starting the age of 13 and 15 yrs. Now it doesn't matter what west does, all boys and girls in the world will start having sexual thoughts at that age.

Also to think that this 'making out' at an young age is a western influence and didn't exist 20 - 30 yeas back, I would disagree. Before the abolition of child marriage, most of the girls used to get married at the age of 13 - 14, just when they start becoming aware of their sexuality. Similarly men used to be married off by the age of 16. Now the government has changed that age 18 for girls and 21 for boys without taking into consideration how it affects society. So our previous generation men and women used to have sex in teens itself, while this generation kids still consider themselves 'young boys' at the age of 25. More on this later , I gotta run.

Mayavi, you are correct. We or I cannot generalize a culture or even a country.
I guess my mind was on the TV programs (Reality shows, soaps) that are being shown nowadays, and that sub-conciously entered into the conversation

Also, I didnt mean sex, I meant sex education, contraceptives etc.

Increasing population, unavailability of housing (India has 1 room for every 2.3 persons), married couples sharing home with parents and other married siblings, resulting in zero privacy for intimate moments. Many couples share their bed room with kids and the less fortunate ones share it with their parents as well, the only place they can have time for themselves is in public places.
Not sure about your comment above. As the case I was discussing was they were sitting on a bench in evening around 5.30 pm and it was daylight and not a darker corner.

Yet another incident in my local office here in Chennai. A couple caught making out in the toilets. Atleast, this time it was a hetero couple, or does that even matter?. False morality, hypocracy, confusion, extreme horniness and hot steamy weather is to blame for this sorry state of affairs?.Or,...I'd like to know what other opinions there are out there.

lol that's just horniness. And stupid too.

Having sex during work hours is unethical to start off with. And if you're stupid enough to make out in the toilet (yuck!) with all your colleagues around, you're just desperate.

PDA owners are the ones most guilty of PDA. They like to take out and fondle their prized possessions every once in a while without worrying about public reaction.

No it isn't. Not if you're from Rajkot especially. At the workplace, maybe yes.

90% of the folks in Rajkot down office and business shutters from 12pm to 4 pm and switch off their mobiles. I dont think all the time is spent eating lunch. More for like working up an appetite.
