Vishal,
Isn't the rubbing strip just glued to the body? So, there should be no chances of any holes remaining exposed if you want to remove it.

Off-topic:
Are you the same person (Kapil's brother) who used to live at Sahakar Niwas @ Dadar?

@salilpawar1: no dude it is not glued on. it is plastic instead of rubber and is screwed on. :(. i am the same vishal. I am sorry but I don't recollect your name. are you kapil's friend?

@cyrus43: Thanks for the redo, it definitely looks more neat than the previous one. i like the way it extends beyond the back door. i don't think the black strip is much of an eye-sore. do you?

@cyrus43 & @badboyscad: I hope I can trouble you both with one last thing. while cyrus has his design starting from the wheel arch, badboyscad has his starting from the headlamps. how would it look if both of them were to be combined? much like the black scorpio with the flame decals a few pages back in the same thread. thanks again, your help is really helping me arrive at the final solution.

guys, i showed the final designs done by cyrus43 to a local shop and he quoted 4k for type 1(which would fade after about a year) and 8k for another type which would last for around 5 years. all this cause he would make the design on a pc take my final approval and do digital printing, etc. i personally think this is very steep. any idea where i can get it done cheaper either in mumbai/pune?

well i'm the latest one to get glued on digital art, combining my passions of cars and photographing automobiles. Its getting addictive, and that too when I haven't got hold of photoshop yet. Just a little tinkering in Microsoft Pic Editor .

Pics taken at Vasa Autosports Autocross in Tumkur. Camera used was a crappy Kodak P & S, 6.1 MP.

This is RDKarthik driving the rally Baleno.

@Doomsday : While you started out well, in the final 2 pics you ended up burning the picture using saturation.

Yeah I saturated the last two to a greater extent- did it deliberately though since got bored of the plain hues.
