Need info on tourist visa to Switzerland

Hi guys,
A member of our team is getting married and wants to go to Switzerland and Germany for honeymoon.
Wants information on where to apply for a visa, and how long it would take, apart from the cost.
Thanks,

On another note, he wants to go to switzerland and germany?

Honestly, if the passports are virgin, he is best off going to switzerland. The visas are easy to get (no interview required, the agent will do it all) and the cities of Switzerland are geared for tourist, especially Indians.
Germany is not geared for the average Indian, in terms of food and language. Unless you count the cities. But why would anyone go to a big city on their honeymoon.

As one can imagine (lol) I have some decent knowledge of german visa procedures. If your friend has decided to go to Germany he will need a little more information than what alone is on the website.
I'm here if you need help.

If this is his first visit to Switzerland he will have to go to the embassy for an interview.

I don't think that Swiss Embassy calls for an interview. Germany, yes they do in case if its the first visit to Germany. That however, is again case dependant

my family and i plan to leave for our euro-vacation on 3rd of june. we have applied and received our schengen visas and will be applying for our swiss visa tomorrow. i was told its pretty straight-forward. we send our passports and the money to the consulate in bombay and they send it back to us within 3-4 working days.

we got our schengan visa from france so not too sure about procedures for germany.

Hey Flipsyde, I am also planning a euro family trip on the 7th of June.
I am still to apply for a visa though.Have just completed the paperwork, and should be submitted tomorrow. I heard there the vfs guys are taking a long time to process the visas. Is it true ? We re planning to apply to the Italian consulate as we are spending 7 days in Rome and Venice.
How long did it take u to get the process completed? I am a lil scared as there are 11 of us (so incase visas get delayed there is gonna be a decent financial dent) and 7th is not too far off.

hey sammyboy

you should have got your visa work done earlier since there are so many of you flying out. anyway all is not lost. you should apply for schengan visa to the country where you will be landing first. my family for example is flying air france and landing in paris first so we applied via VFS-france. we gave our documents on 9th of may and got it today ....... 15th of may. in between were 2 non working days.

if your documents are in order then the VFS-france should be able to give it to you in 4 working days. i am not sure about VFS italy. kindly check regading the same.

for 11 people i would have approached a travel agent if i were you. as straight forward as the visa procedures are i'd rather have someone else do it.

june 7th is still 3 weeks away...... what are the visa you are yet to apply for??
