Try Hotel Chancery Pavilion, Residency Road, near Richmond flyover

You can also think of bangalore club but a member of the club can only book it.

Thanks Ajmat for pointing, the member himself has to be present in the party (he should be the host, atleast he should claim it while registering)

If you are a member of Country Club then give it a try. I guess they charge 25 bucks per person (maybe 50 now) as guest charge. Food and drinks are affordable and their clubs are scattered all over the city.

Few i remember are : Bannerghatta Road, Marathhalli ring road near the multiplex, mysore road.

Although the club services (sports) are not worth mentioning due to lack of maintanence, the resto and bar is pretty good.

Why not try the Chinnaswamy stadium either? Membership is also required here for entry.

Edit: how about checking out the hotel on brigade road, opposite 5th Ave? IIRC they used to charge INR 130 plus taxes few years back per person for buffet lunch. I used to take my team for lunch sometimes to that place. Now the prices may have tripled.

I organized a meeting there 2 weeks back. For 125 people they charged 520 + 30%Tax for meeting hall, dinner, starters, soft drinks etc

They normally charge what you mention but you need to negotiate with them.

Rs.500ish including tax. within my budget. a bit cheaper if it is veg fare.

prefer atria and grand ashok.. maybe because of the roads where they are located.. i guess the food will be same everywhere, and i never actually enjoyed banquet food ;-) but not practical to have something homely for large groups.

Looking for a Banquet Hall in Bangalore (to host a reception)

Hi Guys,

A friend's hosting a wedding reception and we've been looking out for Banquet Halls (Hotels) which could accomodate 400-600 people, out here in Bangalore.

Reasons for choosing a Hotel over a Wedding Hall,

1) Ease of arrangement (catering, decorations & other arrangements)
2) It's not a very big gathering so makes sense to hold it at a hotel.

I might have got my reasons wrong, so please do correct me if you feel otherwise.

The budget we're looking at is around Rs 300 per head (don't think we'll be able to stretch much over this). The reception's to be hosted on the first Saturday of July (I hope we're not too late).

I've been trying to do this alone the past few days but it's not really working out. Would really appreciate some pointers/advice on places to check out. One option I had in mind was Canopy in the Utility Building on MG Road (coz I've loved their food) but have no idea about their service experience with banquets.

Thanks guys.

Thanks Aditya, had already checked that out but this is for a larger gathering and also at a smaller budget, which is why I created a new thread.

@Mods: Would this have to be merged?

400 - 600 people is quite a huge gathering. I wonder if any hotel has that big a hall that would be able to accomodate so many people. Plus the budget might need to be stretched a little more.
