first one was taken under a very bright moon, though not full. Wish there were no clouds, the stars would have come out better

Thanks mate. Did I consider Strome?? Of ocurse, I was waiting for its launch. 12+ OTR in Pune for the base model drove me away...
Posting my preowned TCIC Safari EX 2004 . Bought this from a Safari Lover who maintained this very well.
Was driving a Indigo Marina before, & dreaming of Safari from past 2 Years. Not one sole encouraged me to go for Safari, but was constantly reading Safari Owners review & their experiences with Vehcile which finally pushed me to go for it.
Have done the following from past 2 weeks as preventive maintanance though nothing was wrong.
1. Timing Belt, AC belt, Alternator, Stearing Belt changes, Oil, Coolant, Water Pump replacement , CC cleaning - Cost Rs 6300
2. Left in TASS on 1st week of buy just to see whether any work needs to be done, based on their recommendation, did Back suspension work did at Rs 5500, though there was no no noise what so ever..
Posting few pictures.
Safari experts : While on 2nd & 3rd gear notice thick black smoke. Is it normal ? The engine power & oil consumption seems to be normal & Oil pressure guage shows half mark. The vehicle has done about 55K till now.
Enjoying the drives. FE at 11 from Cochin to Mysore ( first time safari drive), Now from B'lore to Mysore 12.
Tyre : 265/70 With Alloy, Appllo Hawks

Just check the air filter simplest explanation for the smoke in 2 &3 gear.

I loved the Old style interiors & Light assemblies as there is no Digital Touch to it including speedometer & trip meter.
Did a round of 3 M Rubbing compound on Bonnet, 3M Interior polish for interiors & Waxpol Fiber polish for exteriors, found Waxpal is better than 3 M . will take up rest of the Polishing this weekend
