Please stay till the end credits roll. Do not miss the post credit scene ;)

Oh Hell - Stayed there, but felt nothing was up, so let after 2-3 minutes. If they have to put in something, why not a bit early, like a minute or two into the credits? Why do they always have to wait like 8-10 minutes?

Did I miss something important?

Though there are some plot holes and some unexplained points, however it retains what is essential in a Superhero movie: Entertainment.

There is loads of it and some wonderful touches, eg. the Quicksilver scene.

Thumbs up from me :thumbs up

Felt the movie was okay - I honestly expected a bit more action. Watched in 2D, as I loathe 3D (gives me a headache if you ask me)

The plot could have been developed a bit more, felt something was missing.

Probably a 3/5 for me, and I am a fan. I had absolutely loved the last one!

Agreed. X Men : First Class was in a league of it's own. But I liked this one just as much.

Folks who missed the post credits stuff, not to worry. It wasn't something extremely important. Just a bit of a clue towards what is to come. Since I'm not allowed to post spoilers, all I'll say is head off to you-know-which-pedia to look up the information :)

While identifying threads similar to "The English Movies Thread", the suggestion engine seems to have confused movie spoilers with automotive spoilers. :uncontrol

Unless you are a die-hard fan of the X-Men comic book franchisee, i would say you haven't missed anything much! It was just a hint towards what can be expected in the next installment.

BTW, loved this movie as much as First Class! QuickSilver was hilarious! :uncontrol

Yes I agree.

Also if one is indeed a die hard fan he would be quite aware of what to expect in the next iteration. Online forums are buzzing for some time now about what the next Xmen film would be called.

X-Men : Days of Future Past
Loved it. First class still remains my fav. X men movie but this was quite close. Best part is how they have given same screen time to all characters without making any one stand out. Quicksilver was the best and the kitchen scene was awesome.

They didn't explained in the movie how Xavier was still alive so had to google it which makes sense. So, as a complete reboot has been done the makers are free to experiment anything in coming installment. Exciting times ahead.

I saw a 12.30 pm day show after years. Wasn't expecting more than 10 people in the hall considering the hot weather outside. However, was amazed to see at least 90% hall was filled.

Also, at least 40 people waited with me for the after credit scene. A first for me to see so many people waiting. Took more than 5 minutes but the scene is totally worth it. Don't miss it.

Rating- 9/10

I have let youtube solve that one for me :)

Quicksilver was brilliant. He most likely would be making a greater presence in the next movies I suppose.

I've run out of movies in the theaters now. The good ones that is.

Thank you for the heads up. There's no way we would have stayed 8-10 minutes otherwise.

Totally agree with this! First of all - the night 10pm show was housefull and second - a lot of people waited for the post-credits scene. I found it rather disappointing though, and had to resort to google to find out what it actually hinted at.

Anyways - a very good entertainer.

The best part about the movie? It just brought all the dying and dead charecters back into a franchise, which i felt was hugely dependant on Jackman till now.

X Men: DoFP

Superb movie. I went there expecting mindless action sequences and special effects. But the movie did a very fine job of balancing a strong plot and required action sequence. James McCovoy, Fassbender do a fine job as Charles and Magneto.

If only it wasn't 3D. I did not see the need for 3D.

4/5

Edge of Tomorrow

Rating: 4/5

I am a sci-fi buff; I love a good movie if it is fast paced, well directed, logical overall (keeping in a few assumptions wrt to the sci-fi part), and excellent acting with proper chemistry between the co-stars. And that's what you get in Edge of Tomorrow. It's still a bloddy wonder how Tom Cruise, a 51 year old man, pulls of characters of 30+ guys effortlessely!

Great movie to watch!

P.s. No 3D effects to talk about. If you get a cheaper 2D option, go for it!

Edge of Tomorrow
Really enjoyed it. Probably more than X-Men: DOFP.
If you have seen one of my favorite movie- 'Groundhog Day' then you can easily understand whats going on.
There are few loopholes and ending was quite predictable. I was looking for a twist which didn't come.
Tom cruise has given a very solid performance but the show stopper is Emily Blunt.
Very good mixture of humor and action.
Don't miss it.

Edge of Tomorrow

Completely agree with bhpians who commented before me. Brilliant Movie and to me one of the best movies in a long long time. Better than X Men DOFP and Godzilla. I am a fan of this genre and it was a pure treat.
Watched it in IMAX 3D, not a lot of 3D effects to boast of but the sound is incredible.

The way Tom Cruise pulls off a role meant for a 35 year old was astounding. Emily Blunt was very good as well. The movie was fast paced with a great storyline. It's was a great mix of Star Trek & Jason Bourne (if my analogy holds any good)

Sad to see it has not been very well received in the US and it also seems all the bad press has gone to Tom Cruise.

Rating 9/10, Absolute Must Watch!

Edge of tomorrow-

Totally agree with all the others! The story is somewhat similar to what we have seen in the past. But the way it has been portrayed and directed is mind blowing! Although the constant twisting of the tale gives out a predictable ending. I got fooled over thinking it was shot with IMAX cameras nothing such and no movie now a days does justice to the 3D effects. A lot of silent humor as wel.

A must watch, better than the days of future past.

Someone please PM me and tell me what's there in post credit scenes. I usually stay little longer but, left after about 2 minutes.

Edit: Sorry, was getting excited hence did not wait to actually google and find it out myself. So now I've seen the post credits and I can only say one thing.... It's going to be Legen.... wait for it...... Dary

As far as what I believe is the Apocalypse was one such character in the comic book series which tested the strength of every x-men to zilch. It would be great to see how he's now projected in the upcoming movie.

Edge of Tomorrow - 9/10

It is very rare for Hollywood to give us an original story, that to based on an Asian book/comic. Edge of tomorrow gives both and pulls it of a spectacularly. While there have been very many time loop movies, Donnie Darko being my favorite, the way the time loop was presented in EoT was sort of fresh air. The pacing was really good, the script was crisp and the set pieces well thought out. The ending though a bit predictable, actually has some deeper philosophy in there. All in all a spectacular summer movie that actually makes the viewer think.

Too bad the movie is failing at the us box office. It is similar to last year's pacific rim which did rather poor at the us box office but pulled in big money in the far east.
