...This isn't a Captain America movie, its just a Falcon movie with the Falcon carrying the iconic shield... |

How can the Falcon be the next Captain America? I mean Captain America was a super serum induced super soldier.
What is the Falcon bringing to the table? His camaraderie with the captain and the wings (any one can get that)?
The Falcon is a nepo Captain America rl:
That said, Marvel is losing the plot. Post endgame all movies have been mediocre or downright snooze fests (Antman Quantamania, Thor Love and Thunder, The Marvels- Holy Vishnu that was bad).
Hope RDJ can infuse some love and art or superhero movie genre will fade away.

Sigh.. What a waste of opportunity. Marvel has lost it completely by now.
Its evident that a lot of content has been cut out, and if rumours are to be believed, the movie has been "de-woked" multiple times before its release. The way I see it, only purpose this movie serves is to introduce adamantium i.e. the X-Men into the MCU. |
Thanks for sparing me a trip to the theater. I wasn't interested in this movie but my son was so was thinking if we should give it a watch. I know Marvel has made this movie as a cash grab using Captain America's name. He is an iconic character and you can't just make Falcon convert into him by just wielding a shield.

It is what happened in comic book lore as well. And aren't all movies technically cash grabs? lol:
Think i remember Sam Wilson taking up the role very reluctantly but how can you say no to Steve Rogers?
Not a fan of either characters. Just plain boring.

But I remember the Red Hulk comic book arc when it came out first and it was a blast! Good comic book reading it was.
Was he a disappointment in the movie? Or was it just falcon as Captain America not doing good? |
What they did with Thor was unforgivable. Taika Waititi should never be let near an MCU set again. While not a Marvel fan myself (hardcore DC guy here!), I hate what they have done with the beloved comic characters.
And to answer your question, he was a disappointment in the movie. His falcon wings are his only power. Take that away, and he is forced to beg the Red Hulk to calm down. The shield is wasted here. And the gamma radiation brainy guy who???

I am way more excited about Fantastic four, for (1) pedro pascal (2) Surfer, and (3) Galactus. Hopefully, we will see more focus on Galactus this time around. The first one was a shoddy effort, though the silver surfer in that one was quite good, sort of true to the comic books and to the 90's series. |
Same. Falcon is just mid tier, no where strong enough to lead the next Avengers (which at one point was planned to be all female lead). Bucky deserved the shield more.
Waiting for Marvels First Family and Galactus, but not at all pleased with the decision to recycle RDJ as Von Doom.

Lol! As per reddit, he's the DEI Captain America! But not a fan of RDJ returning. He had a beautiful send off in Endgame, that should have been it.

Very true. OTT watch is more than enough. Or sail the high seas if impatient ;)
Conclave
This follows the intrigue involved in electing the next Pope.
Brilliant acting and cinematography. Plot was pretty good although the ending was a little predictable with a "meh" twist. Shows that all elections involve intrigue, bigotry, rabble rousing etc.
This was in cinemas and should be on OTT soon

That was a low point. Dude for sure would play the role well but after playing Iron Man and pretty much owning it, it feels awkward to see the same dude playing arch villain Doom.
Interestingly enough, Dr Doom is now the sorcerer supreme in comic book land!
At least Josh Brolin was in heavy CGI/Make-up as thanos, so it was not all that weird to see him play Cable in Deadpool. Still think Stephen Lang would have played a good Cable.
Lets not forget ole Captain America was Johnny Storm in FF4 2005 :) But then no one wants to be reminded of that movie :coldsweat
Ever want to see a film with elements of Spy thriller, Action flick, Horror and romance -all rolled into one ?
Check out
Gorge directed by Scott Derickson who directed movies like - the exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver us from Evil, Black Phone and so on.
What strikes out is the underpinning of a strong love between the lead pair and how they survive against all odds. When you see Sigurny weaver, you would think it is another Alien type of movie - but it is not.

Super/Man - The Christopher Reeve story : 4.5 / 5
Accidents and disabilities to world-famous individuals is common knowledge. Chris Reeve a.k.a. THE Superman, Michael Schumacher, and so on. But what is not common is the lives they live post their accident and what happens to those around them.
This is a beautifully documented story with Chris's children and close friends providing supporting commentary to historical flashbacks. The first half feels a bit dragged but the second half is worth it. Unlike Schumacher's family who have chosen to avoid anything being shared with the public, Reeve (during his 'recovery') and his family clearly believe the way forward is to make the best of it and put the publicity to good use.
A wonderful watch; opens up your mind to what disabled community goes through; through the eyes and ears of the Reeve family.
I finally got around to watching The Flash.
Frankly, I dont get the hate towards it. Except if its for Ezra Miller. Personally, I feel Grant Gustin from TV is a way better flash. Ezra Miller is just too flaky in his personification of one of the most powerful comic characters ever.
But apart from him, this is a made-for-comic-fans movie! It's a storyline that has happened as a cartoon movie, as a comic book, and also on TV. I have a feeling that people expect the same from DC as they do from Marvel, and that's why DC keeps failing in its cinema.
Cherry on the cake? Nic Cage!!
I'd rate it a 4.5/5
Old Guy - 2/5
The trailer looked active, fun, and fast-paced. The movie is mediocre at best. Christopher Waltz can turn a garbage movie into gold, but he could not work this one out.

The Big Country - on Prime (1958)
4.5/5
A classic old west movie that is an amazing watch. Great storyline, amazing direction and cinematography.
The Gorge - 2025 - Apple TV+
Sci-fi - Action - horror thriller - 4/5
Loved this movie. It mixes multiple genres very well—bits of science fiction, romance, thriller, and action, all in the right proportion to make a thoroughly entertaining movie.
The performances of both leads are great. Overall, the story, though familiar, was nice. The ending was predictable, but it never felt boring. The pacing was very good, with plenty of nail-biting action. Highly recommended

Agree, I too found it enjoyable. Could've been done much better, considering that it was inspired from 'the flashpoint paradox' - one of my all time favourite DC animated movies.

`Something like in this movie could come true in the future.
What Happened to Monday (2017) on Amazon Prime
Starring: Noomi Rapace, Willem Dafoe, Marwan Kenzari and Glenn Close.
My rating: 4/5
This movie is also called as
Seven Sisters in other countries.

Love Hurts - 4/5
Love Hurts brings a lighthearted, action-packed twist to the retired-killer-returns trope, blending romance, comedy, and over-the-top action into an entertaining ride.

The Lighthouse 2019
7/10
I didn't really understand this film. It realistically portraited hard life of men working in a lighthouse. There were subtle notices of deep meaning or what would you call - some kind of a twist behind the action but I was not bright enough to come to any meaningful conclusion.
Anyways, I found it very bland and boring film. However, after searching for explanation about the plot - after reading multiple theories, damn it made a lot sense. Suddenly, I started liking it :D
