guys ...pretty shocking...most people are voting for the average comedies of today...and completely forgetting the classic comedies of Indian Cinema.

Angoor, chupke chupke, golmaal, namakhalaal, chashme badoor, kisi se na kehna...are some of the real gems...u cant even compare them with b grade movies like awara paagal deewana, kya kool hain hum etc...

lets not forget the stalwarts like hrishikesh mukherjee and say tht the directors of movies like APD and kya kool hain hum etc have surpassed them.

I believe that film even got a Filmfare award or something.. back in '90 or sometime. Worth a few laughs anyway!

I would think Satte pe Satta is a great one, possibly should have been in the polling list. Have voted for Others.

From this list, it would be Andaz apna apna... just too weird and wacky!

I would rate the older comedies to be true at Heart comedies. How can we forget "chupke chupke" and all those witty Amol Palekar movies.

1) Chupke Chupke
2) Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron
3) Munnabhai Series
4) Golmaal (Older version)
5) Andaaz Apna Apna
6) Hera Pheri
7) Baap Numberi Beta Dus Numberi

Is that the one where amitabh gets drunk and talks about his brothers to somebody else (amzad khan?) I was watching this alone and rolling down on the floor with laughter.

the other movie that had me in splits was awara pagal deewana.

out of the list, pushpak and hungama had such hilarious sequences.

Pushpak
Padosan (KK and Sunil Dutt)
Andaz apna apna
Anubhav (Shekhar Suman - You have to watch the condom purchase scene)
Baap Nambari Beta 10 Nambari
Jodi number 1 was kind of funny.
Baadshah - Shahrukh Khan - Had some very funny scenes.
No Entry - This was the latest I saw which made me laugh. (Le leejiye dawai, yeh khayenge toh accha hoga, nahi khaenge toh aur bhi accha hoga)

Ajay Devgan cannot to comedy. Period.

Yeah same goes for Akshay and many more.
Sorry if you are an Ajju fan but I love him serious roles
like in Kacche Dhage and the film directed by Mahesh Bhatt with Pooja Bhatt in it. Superb roles and acting. I like him in serious romantic films as well. He is the best in some categories.
