I turn towards Jenny. They've used Indian music?
Is it?
Yeah.

The music still plays and it's pretty loud. Horace Slughorn opens his mouth to speak.

Thoda resham lagta hai, thoda sheesha lagta hai
Heere moti chadte hain thoda...
Bwaahaahaahaa bwaahaahaahaa...

Everyone in my bay was staring at me!!

One pristine experience from served pipping hot courtesy multiplex.

Sam, finish it man, I am all for what follows.

The same thing happened with me last week, the staff turned on the volume to full blast, it was Dolby unbearable, we had to get out to save our ears. The manager was- Hmmm. Sir, this is new sound quality, cant reduce.

Wow!!!

NC -- I have a suggestion for you -- just like Yeti has a Yetini( not sure if thats what Jenny likes to hear) -- you should get a AC ( abnormally_crazy) girlfriend so you dont have to crib anymore

KP,

The Yeti and Yetini ditched us both (normally_crazy and his normal gf.)

But anyways he has been informed of the bad deed and the Yeti has graciously accepted to make up for it - let's say Yeti ko yeh galti mehangi padi

No this is not the case, clearly. Different movies have different prices. Maybe the movie you asked for had Rs. 100 tickets for any show mon-thurs?

IIRC there was a hindi movie for 60 bucks too. I remember him saying it to the lady in front of me at the ticket queue.

My experience recently at PVR Mulund for Harry Potter was also disappointing. Though not in the same league as Sam, but i was really put off by the print there. It had random spots and markings as if you are seeing a really old print which has been played umpteen number of times over the last 10 years !!!

It's sad to say, but getting a DVD when it releases and watching it at home would give a much better experience than seeing a 'ghisa-pita' print in a theatre. Only if they'd improve the overall experience.

DO YOU THINK THIS SONG IS IN HARRY POTTER??

He blinks. Reaches for his mobile and dials a number.
As I'm climbing the steps to go back in it occurs to me.

We've missed a good 5 minutes of the movie too!
He nods. Still talking into his phone.
Rewind it. Now.

I walk back in. A few people look in my direction questioningly. Before I can answer, the audio comes back.

Thank you! Thank you! Thanks!

I smile and nod in the dark.
He's gonna rewind a bit, I say loudly to nobody in particular.

Everyone starts clapping unexpectedly. I sit down, feeling a bit triumphant.

Oh you love this crap don't you?

What?
I ask half smiling.

All this attention and this clapping for you and the bravos. You love it I can see it.

What? Are you nuts. I just did the right thing.

I'm grinning. Who am I kidding? Of course I love it.

The movie stops suddenly and the lights come on.
He's gonna rewind it now, I say loudly from my seat to nobody in particular. Hey, I'm the hero. I can do that. Lol.

We've gone back extra time. We're gonna see Harry consider taking liquid luck again.

I'm going to consider taking that potion too, the next time I'm at PVR Phoenix.

The end.

Thanks for enjoying my story. Have a great day.

Sam.

Sam,
you should be film director/ script writer. You know how to make small incident into full action play story.

Nice script, film Tezaab style.

Well i hope its not a common problem with the PVR chain as something similar happened at PVR Juhu when i went to watch The Hangover a couple of weeks back for the 11.15pm show. Ten minutes into the movie, in the scene when they're at the suite, suddenly sound goes off for 30 seconds. After the interval, there was no sound for nearly 2 minutes.

At that moment, when you are in such a cheerful mood watching a movie during which you have wholeheartedly hysterically laughed after Eons, you just feel like bashing up the Moronic guys running the show.

P.S. Matters related to pricing, they should standardize ticket rates across the chains, AFAIR i paid Rs. 225 per ticket.

Well, AFAIK the first 3 opening days will have a higher price. It gradually decreases over the weekdays. On weekends again they have a different rates.

LOL

I saw this scene some weeks back where Govinda as usual in garish clothes tells the projector guy to rewind the scene. Just can't recall the movie, but yes, it also had Shakti Kapoor in shorts. Hope it was'nt the same scene rewinded.
