Lighted by Lighter

Closeup picture of a friend of mine, lighting a cigarette with a lighter. No external light source has been used, except for the light emitted by the lighter.

Note: The props used in the photograph are only for representation of the concept/idea. This in now way promotes the usage of the props in any way.

The source of the light is bang in front of the camera. How is this a side lit photograph?
