They can help but for really complex questions it would be better to consult an auditor. The guy I work with doesn't even do insurance broking - he suggests that they buy pure term plans online so no commission accrues to him, plus doesn't take any kickbacks from agents if they prefer to use offline purchase - which would be a conflict of interest. So I am sure that for any complex issue he will probably refer you to a good auditor.
