You can try Koleso, which probably has the best view. Food is just ok, nothing out of the world.

Re: A Guide : Eating out in Goa

I didn't know about this thread. I can surely contribute with some good input.

I returned from Goa a week back. All Goa trips in last few years were sort of culinary trips - experiencing good food over music and conversation. Here are a few recommendations.

1. Vishal's Candolim : Vishal has a small home in the by lane -off Candolim Calangute road - some 300 meters ahead of Newton's towards Calangute. There are a few tables in the veranda and that's it. Limited menu but a great pace to enjoy sea food. Try butter garlic prawns and crab. Watch him going in a zone when cooks - enjoying what he does. We went twice over there as we couldn't get over the great taste we relished.

2. Mikey's Place Candolim : Good food - great vibes over live music. Similar set up as Fishermen's cove but food is better.

3. Cafe Bhosale ( Panjim & Calangute road) for buns
4. Vinayak Assagoa for Goan thali and great local desert.
5. Starlight Arpora - again for authentic Goan food. It's quite cheap as well.
