The barchetta was indeed quite terrific specially in the scene where he zips across from under the toll gates

My fav CAR movies:

- Gone in 60 seconds - Great cars + Hot woman

- The Italian Job - Apart from the minis there was also an aston and a 850ci and mark wahlberg's my gym idol for having the most perfect physique & not to forget there was charlize theron too

- Transporter - both 1 & 2 - the guy makes for a really cool action star

- Herbie Fully Loaded - girlie but cute

My personal favourite is "Gone in 60 Secs"

*** Spoilers. There is these guys called arnie and Dennis.. Arnie is in love with a girl.. He then sees a Plymouth Fury parked somewhere.. He falls in love with the car... But that car is evil.. The siory goes on with the car nad the Girl Competing.. Both doesn't like each other... The Girl tells him to dump the car.. because she senses that the car is evil... He keeps it,.. maintaing it himself... then yeah i forgot... the quirkiest thing is that the cars milometer runs back ward... And The car actually gets new and new as it runs... Then He comes to know that the pervious owner has sacrificed his wife and kid for the car...

Some guys Thrash The car.. For taking revenge on Arnie.. Arnie ppushes the car and once the milometer spins backward the car starts repairng itself.. Becomes Okay after 2-3 weeks of Running... Chases and kills the guys... making sure thta Arnie has an alibi.. Even Once the car tries to kill Arnie Gf too.. (This part is supernatural.. doesn;t have that chase and hit to kill as the other killings)

Then The story changes.. The hero Is Dennis.He wants to help arnie out of the situation... He and Arnie- Ex girlfriend.. hatch a plan to destroy the car... Some how they mange.. Killing arnie and their family...

Well Then Dennis and Arnie's Gf lived happily ever after... Or Did They.. because the last page tells that some car hit aguy who was the last guy in the gang who trashed te Plymouth fury..

Dennis has a feeling that the fury is coming for Him.. with its unending Fury..

The best thing about it was.. The realtionship... The place in which Arnie has to choose his car over his gf.. Being gone through such a situation it is tough.. But still always the petrol wins....

The book is not good for car - tech guys.. the author has confused the cars.. he has actually named the car as a '58 plymouth Fury But his desvcription is of a Plymuth Belvedere....

But there are a lot of nice quotes .. from soft rock.. at the start of each chapter..

Btw.. the car's name is Christine... & I nmaed my car after her... after reading the book.. before that She was called Snow White...

Think should ask somebody whether to start a thread on Car names..Like does anybody name his car... And what are the aes they've given...

Btw, I didnt quite like Gone in 60 Seconds. There was also a lovely car related movie called " Cannon Ball Run", it also had some lovely chases and lovely car models and the babes were also superb :-)

Cars - released this year - now that was really good movie!

Also the Great Race - really funny
And of course the French Connection for that crazy chase down new york

Animated movie -- Cars.....loved the animation and story
Tuner series movie -- Fast & the Furious 1, didn't like any of the other in the trilogy
Old timer car movie -- The Cannon Ball run -- good story and weird cars, vans and an ambulance involved in a race........
