Steeroid, Chappel is no saint talking of ethics. He ws the same person who asked his brother to bowl "underarm" to win a match. But once he is chosen as coach and once responsibility is handed over to him for building 2007 team, BCCI should not tie his hands. Whatever he is trying to achieve (read fitness regime) seems to have shaken up few seniors. Most juniors acknowledge publicly that Chappel has been of help in improving their performance. He may not be the best, but at least give him a chance before crucifying him. Afterall, we are giving Ganguli multiple chances for last 2 years.

The Indian cricket board has done what the team couldnt - they've beaten the bookies!!!

By asking Saurav and Greg to kiss (ouch!) and make up, they've smashed the betting fraternity for a six!

Nothing came of this meeting then, not even a bit of money to the gamblers...

You didn't need an astrologer to predict this outcome. Exactly as expected.

Yeah - As expected , brush things under the carpet and let them cool down on their own. But I still feel Greg got the badder deal than Saurav Dada here. And yeah no one is allowed to talk to the media , the BCCI cheif said ,anyone talking to the media will be disciplined. and then what happens - dada goes and answers questions on TV.

Are these jokers at BCCI really bothered about Indian cricket at all ? After this fiasco do they really expect Greg and Dada to work togather , without any ill feelings??

Infractions: 0/1 (10)

dont take this lul situation to be the end of this NC..the storm lies ahead..just a matter of time when it erupts like a volcano..and this time it wont be swept under the carpet for sure..
if it comes to decision making time of whose got to get the axe,i think all the stacks are against greg..dalmiya will outrightly support his homeboy ganguly, and sunil gavaskar for one surely didnt want greg to be the indian coach in the 1st place..ravi shastri will surely vote in with sunny..so its just a matter of fact before greg might get the axe or he himself might quit..not if dada himself accepts his mistakes and bows out of the captaincy..and i for once dont see that happenning..

this issue instead of being the one to solve indias dismal performances in the past its turning out to be a battle of prestige and egos btwn the two..and the biggest looser from all this is the game itself and the spectators who so ardently follow it...

Long back Amarnath called selectors as bunch of jokers and here you call BCCI as bunch of jokers. You should be greater cricket player than Amarnath :-) J/K.

Taking action is too risky at this stage for BCCI. Let the elections get over and scores will be settled soon. Either chappel is cut to size like John Wright or Dada sees the door.
