new internet connection

hi..i wanted you guys to help me out choosing a good internet connection...
currently..im using spearhead...and the d/l speed i get is averagely around 3-5kbps...but unlimited downloading...and i dont even know many people onn lan...just know 3 users...and lan speed is pretty cool ...around 500-700 kbps

now i wnat to get a new connection and the two things im looking for...
unlimited downloads
speed always MUCH MORE than 5-6kbps and stable connection...

using spearhead i download around 200-300 mb everyday...

I have MTNL ADSL at home in bombay now.....the speed is really good and constant...but the download limit is screwing up everything its way to less for my usage... and now I use a Voip phone on it too since the speed is so good..that eats up alot more mbs... but i have just become a suker for 256kbs speed now i cant do less than that....I had reliance powersurfer before and the speed sucked tho it was unlimted which is good...... but pls let know if you find an unlimited download service provider in bandra that gives dedicated bandwidth of 256kbs and charges too pls ..thnx alot

Hi dadude,

Dunno if I can help (am located in Noida

). But do post your min bandwidth requirement and max cash outflow pm - that way we can compare things and see if we too have a decent deal or not.

At home, I am on TATA ADSL - 512kbps: limit of 500MB pm - cost is 469 pm incl tax. Serves the purpose.

At the office, I have a Airtel BB - 256 kbps: 1 GB limit - cost is 500+99 as modem rental+taxes.

airtel connection is aweosme dude....hahahahaha i heard of a better 1...mtnl connection...this 1zz 512kbps...
what i saw was 2 mb dude...49 grand unlimited downloading ...per month...
such connections are good for offices man...i want a home connection...
why not have two lan cards and two internet connection...hehehe

hey dude...the airtel broadband in delhi at least is quite good...am getting download speeds at in a 512Kbps connection of almost 50KB/s :-)

unlimited download plus one landline no. at 1000 bucks per month....

I use Sify BB at home:

128Kbps - Unlimited - 595pm

I get around 20kbps download speed.

The catch is if you dwnld more than 150 MB in a day, ur subscription is shortened by 1 day! I land up using it for 20 days or so.

Connection is pretty relaible @ 95% uptime in Kharghar.

dude this sounds pretty decent 512 kbps and that too unlimited !! for only 1000 per month is great.

This is good deal too......can u find out if they have connections available in Bandra (bandstand) for the same speed and rate? I wouldnt mind paying a little more and gettin 256kbps dedicated. 150mb a day is more than enuf my home needs.

@revtech - That Airtel deal looks too good to be true.... let me know wat feedback you get from them whenever you contact them. Thnx.

hey rishi me too use the same package from sify...the 150mb limit is only till 10pm....and till 10 am its really unlimited ..so you can download all the huge files in the night.
