Last time it took about 2 hours for the tsunami to hit Chennai after the quake.

I felt it in Anna Nagar.

I was wondering whether to move my cars out. Then I thought I would look stupid if nothing else happened. Any hint of another shake and I would have moved them out.

Felt the tremors. My friends say it was bad and that their LCD monitor shook. I hardly felt it though.

It's me that's in the god-forsaken corner! Palavakkam, near the canal.

I think the whole East Coast would have felt it.

15 seconds, Pancham... very scary. Did you think about getting outside?

Hey... isn't the internet wonderful... we can discuss this stuff immediately!

My wife felt it too. I didnt feel a thing, was happily watching BMW motorcycle history on Discovery Turbo .

We're in Medavakkam.

The best thing is... I tried searching on net, but didn't find info about this anywhere other than team-bhp!

For these "live" happenings, better than news sites, you need to search on Twitter.com

I did not feel it either. I am in T.Nagar. 7.7 on the richter is huge! but I heard somewhere that Andaman & Nicobar has close to 4-5 minor tremors everyday. Man, this is freaky.

This is what happened on 9th of June 2010.

I was staying at Thoraipakkam, near the Chennai One toll gate. The house has 2 floors and a balcony. We were in the 2nd floor.

In the midnight (This would be 10th of June, morning), at around 4 AM, we heard some shattering noises. Surprised we came out of the bedroom and saw that the flooring tiles had just packed up, and three rows of tiles were dislodged, forming an inverted V. I suspected it to be some kind of a mild earthquake.
