Test cricket for the win!
Even the recent India-South Africa test series was exhilarating. An even contest between bat and ball between two tenacious teams is so much better to watch that this banal festival of commercialisation.
Heinrich Klaasen has single handedly taken away the second T20I, superb knock when other batsmen have struggled on this pitch :thumbs up, Just 5 needed now off 18 balls, easy win.
All our IPL stars have become jaded already. Only Bhuvi showed some cleverness in bowling. Chahal was taken apart today. A couple of shots off his bowling was savage.

Seconded.
I am bored of T20 now. I even missed watching playoffs and IPL finals and just saw bits and pieces of first IND vs SA match. Waiting for us to tour Ireland and play England for 1 test match. Hopefully Pujara makes a comeback and scores some runs there. I always had a soft spot for him.

Bhuvi is lucky to be in the team I feel. He's past his prime but has experience. |
4 Overs ; 13 Runs ; 4 Wickets. A RPO of 3.25 when the target RR required was 7.5.

This is not a surprise, Cuttack has always been a helpful pitch for swing bowlers. Bhuvi is like Venkatesh Prasad and Debashish Mohanty who were unplayable in favorable conditions. The real test will be in Rajkot and Bangalore. We too love cricket and have seen the game from 4 decades.
Now that we have started losing in bilateral series, I only hope we win the ICC tournaments and reverse the trends winning bilaterals and losing ICCs.

So easy to say the pitch favoured the bowler. The same pitch and conditions were for others to exploit as well.
Bhuvi is a skilled bowler and dont necessarily rely completely on the conditions. Lets see how he performs in varied pitches and conditions.
P.S: Not saying you or anyone have no understanding of the game which is loved by 99% of Indians.

Yes, Bhuvi bowled well yesterday. He has a decent record in the powerplay in last few years. Due to his lack of pace, he's usually taken apart in later spells. Come the big tournament he needs to deliver.
IPL media rights closed at nearly a whopping 107 crores per match (TV + Digital).
TV rights and Digital rights are bagged by two different entities it seems. Speculations are, Sony bagged TV rights and Star keeps the digital rights.

Seems Viacom has got the Digital rights. So no more IPL on Hotstar I guess! Hearing Sony badly wanted TV rights, but I hope Star bags it.

Viacom means either on JioTV or on Voot. Both the apps are really cringeworthy.

Sony and Star are famous for mega serials. No wonder they have taken IPL matches :uncontrol. Ekta Kapoor can become IPL head.

India has never won a bilateral T20I series (home or away) Vs South Africa!
Anyways, 3 more games left in this series, let's see if we can win at least 2 of them.
