Actually, I wanted to post something, but which would be more of ranting than a wishing message. Freedom, reminds me of only one saying..."Freedom means being responsibe" & this country is a perfect example of freedom & irresponsibility. Sorry if I sounded negative, but this is what I see around myself every single day on roads, on streets & my neighbourhood. Even when I'm in a position to express my thoughts & my concerns in this country which has freedom, I'm being supressed. I now begin to feel, two wrongs makes everything right!!!

63 years of Independence, yet, we're dependant on US for technology, Japanese for automobile. Only to keep non stop talking, we're independent.

Any wonder?
What does Independence Day mean to Gen-Y - NOTHING. ZILCH.

Am i being controversial. Be honest and face the truth.

Sorry to sound pessimistic, but iam not HAPPY about our IDay.
It was a day of error. A mistake that has only brought misery to thousands. All due to the folly of a few.
I will not get into explanations or defenses.

Our country is like a big squabbling joint family setup with a weak and cowardly head man. And we all know what happened to the joint family system ...

One question to ponder on - Do we, as a people, deserve Independence? Maybe such a question deserves a seperate thread, i guess.

Our employer celebrated the occasion on Friday itself, with slogan and cubicle decoration contests. Though I hated the way it was done, wrote this message in our cubicle.

Matangini Hazra
Prafulla Chaki
Rani Lakshmi Bai

Swami Vivekananda
