Hello guys,

I bought a couple of old mechanical Bim Bam pendulum clocks from a shop. They are not in running condition. I want to get them restored. Where do I get them repaired and restored in Bangalore? I have models like Pioneer, Scientific, and Deluxe. These are the small pendulum clocks housed in 2 feet x 1 feet wooden cabinets.

Thanks

Uma Shankar

Hello All,

Looking for over-sized wall clocks (above 30") roman numerals in Bangalore.

Any pointers are really appreciated.

Just an update- M Vaman Nayak & Sons don't service clocks anymore. I took my clock in for service and they out rightly refused to service it stating labor issues. From what I've been given to understand, the technicians have left for greener pastures. Pity as we have been having our clocks serviced there since long! :(

However, they still produce and possibly export their grandfather clocks.

Cheers!

I am planning to visit Nayak's clocks at manglore next week. Any idea what to look for/what to expect? Grandfather's clock is too big, but what can be purchased for a home as a memorabilia?

Nice thread. I am very interested in getting a keywound mantle clock. I am fine with either new or preowned one. Where can i look for such machines? Was checking Nayak clocks but looks they have shut shops unfortunately. Have considered Howard Miller, etc. but am apprehensive about importing such a product.

Cheers.

It's far from where you live but if you know someone from bangalore , have them check out Praveen watch company in commercial street.

I had my seikosha clock serviced there. I don't know if they sell new ones.

Hello All,
Not sure if this is the right thread for this query, couldn't find any other related to clocks.

We have a Black Forest cuckoo clock that was purchased 5-6 years back from Germany. It has stopped ticking, the pendulum swings for around 30 secs and then just stops. Looked at many YouTube video and tried some DIY but wasnt able to fix it, looking for help on 2 areas

1. Has anyone else faced this problem and what is the right solution?
2. Any reliable service centres in and around Gurgaon / NCR? The official SCs are in Bangalore /Mumbai and I don't want to courier the clock to them.

@Mods pls move to the relevant thread if needed.

My grandfather's old pendulum wall clock had stopped working many years back and i gave it to a reputed watch service center here.

They took almost one and half years to get it working (covid, parts availability) but ultimately they managed to get it up and ringing.
Have no idea about the vintage but it's a "Peterson" clock. Shall post a pic later :)

The 30minute and 60minute dongs are scary! :D
