Question on NFC payments using Phone
I use Samsung wallet to make NFC payments for my HDFC Infinia, but was not able to add Amex Platinum Travel credit card. I was not able to add it in Google Pay as well, even though it shows the Amex logo as part of supported cards.
So is there any android app available in India for Amex to make payments via NFC?

Came across below news,

Need to understand how this works
Is it advisable for Regalia Gold?

For Regalia gold the only one that seems to make sense is Accor.

Value of accor points is 1000p = 20 euro = around 1.8k. With 50% bonus you are getting .875 accor points per RG point, leading to a value of around Rs. 1.58 per point for your card.

Since this is more than thrice the usual redemption value of 0.5 rs per point for Regalia gold, it seems like a pretty great deal. Accor also has a wide collection of hotels that cover most popular cities in India and abroad, so redeeming it won't be that difficult.

Currently, credit card payments are accepted for tax payments for the tax filing.
Does Infinia gives reward points for tax payments?

Any suggestions for the max reward generation for credit card payment for the tax payments? Which cards are advised?

Here you go. Very few cards are supported on Gpay. Apparently, it is upto the card providers to list themselves with Gpay.

A question for folks who are using the Airtel Axis Bank credit card. The cashback is capped at 250rs. Per month for Airtel services, which is very easy to breach at 25% cashback.

Example: I want to recharge for 6 Months of Airtel Xtreme fibre which comes to ~6500rs. But since the cashback is capped at 250rs, how will this work? Does that mean I have to recharge for monthly plans only to take maximum benefit?

Yes, to maximize benefit, the payment needs to be monthly.

Thank you for the confirmation.

So even though 25% cashback for Airtel looks enticing, I will not be able to utilise the maximum benefit due to the monthly cap. It does not make sense for me to go with this card as I already have other cards which are sufficient for my usage.

HDFC Regalia Gold - Paid
HDFC Swiggy - LTF
ICICI Coral - LTF
Axis Rewards - Paid
Standard Chartered digismart - LTF

Yes. Its not LTF but well rewarding if there are Income Tax, GST, TDS Payments etc every month.

If she doesnt have those spends, then dont upgrade to any of the Biz cards.

Does it give rewards for these compliance payments ?

Seeking pointers for this weird issue of mine - I don't get any OTPs from my SBI credit card for a while now. Email OTPs work fine.

Leaving aside changing the mobile number itself, tried out all options - SBI customer care was useless, they asked me to send a video of me doing something on their SBI Cards app, but not receiving the OTP! :Frustrati

Has anyone faced this issue earlier, and found a solution?

Have you checked if the number has been blocked accidentally on your device or marked as spam in your phone?

Exactly! I was facing the same issue. I used to have Google Messages, where I used to block any type of spam message. I think SBI had same number for OTP as well as promotional messages which I may have blocked during the course of the time. I unblocked all numbers as I was not sure which one would work. But it fixed the issue. I also moved away from Google Messages and back to Microsoft SMS Manager. That app doesn't block messages but rather puts them in different bucket, like promotional, transactions etc. That way you can check if your OTPs are landing in different bucket.

So I finally utilised my 2 year complementary Priority pass membership vis SBI Elite since I anticipate some travel soon, I also did apply and have been approved a Amex Platinum travel card based on some mention here. Regarding Amex Platinum travel trying to understand how to use ot for maximum rewards and return (I am sure of 4 LPA spends) but I couldn't get around the different redemption ways since I have never done it previously. I have always encashed my SBI Elite points which have saved me 15-18k per year.

For Amex Plat travel you can buy Taj vouchers (.5/point) or transfer to Bonvoy at 1:1 ratio depending on what you can utilize better.

HDFC Biz series of newly launched credit cards give points for Tax & Compliance payments, you pay a small surcharge though.
