I’ve been using Infinia for insurance, and via Amazon Pay for utility, but how do you pay tax with Infinia — is it valid for GST payment on consulting income or income tax?
The answer for income tax, gst and utility payments is HDFC BizBlack card. This is the only sensible card from HDFC for these payments.
3.33% reward rate. 5x bonus till 7500 RPs on these payments monthly. Which means expending exactlt Rs.45000 monthly on these payments earns you 16.67% reward rate.
0.72% + gst i.e. 0.85% charges on IT and gst payments (I don't know about charges on electricity payments as MVVNL don't support Diners).

I am using this card for 3 months and very happy with it.

Why is this so?
As I have a banking relationship with them, both my cards are from ICICI.
I couldn't understand, they being behemoths of private banking along with HDFC, why they are not keen on competing with HDFC in Credit cards business.. |
As a customer, biggest downer for me is lack of accelerated reward opportunities in ICICI CC products. In HDFC, PayZapp has been really boon to mint the extra rewards.
Hi All
Wanted some advice on a KYC update demand from SBI.
I have been using the SBI cashback credit card for more than a year and got a demand to update KYC (these idiots are useless..not sure what update they expect every year).
On the website, trying to do the KYC update manually fails.
If I do the KYC update using DigiLocker (even the email SBI sent out asks to use this option), am i giving SBI and their minions access to my Digilocker account?

I ignored the request for a KYC by SBI and my card continues to work. During this activity, you will see a list of documents with checkboxes beside them, meaning it is entirely up to you as digilocker will give you the option to disclose a specific document or a portion of that document or everything everywhere.
This is a trusted way for banks to conduct KYC especially for new creditcard applications. I would go ahead, no harm.

Could you please provide more details about PayZapp ? How it can be used to gain rewards ?

I actually meant HDFC SmartBuy, which is integrated in PayZapp app.
It offers 3x/5x/10x rewards multiplier option for flight/hotel/gift voucher.
Details are available
here.
ICICI Bank is offering me a free "Instant Rupay Coral Credit Card". This shows up on the iMobile App. Though the words used like "Instant", "One-click Away" imply a virtual card, I just want to be sure this is a virtual-only card to be used for UPI transactions. I don't want them to send a physical card later. Any idea whether this is a virtual only card?

You will receive a physical card as well. It is a lifetime free card shared with your existing card limits.

I have an Amazon ICICI Visa card as well. Does the Rupay card limit gets shared with this also? if the reward points also get shared, i.e. the Rupay card's rewards (however minimal) get converted automatically to Amazon Pay balance, that would be good :).

Nope. Rupay variant is only available on Coral. Limits of Coral and AmazonPay are separate.

Only the limit is shared. i.e Both Cards will be utilizing a common limit. Though the app will show independent limit and utilization, it is in fact shared (A very flawed app design). This is how it works with ICICI. The cards will however operate independently.
I realized just yesterday that the Maharaja Club points cannot be used to book AirIndia Express tickets. And apparently, there is a clause that you can book even Air India tickets using using points only after booking two tickets using cash! I took the Axis card for Vistara, and such restrictions make no sense to me. Will be closing the card this year.
I have an IndusInd Legend card which I don't use much at all. Current primary card is Axis Miles and More Select and backup is HDFC Regalia. Bo
I have been using the Axis Select to accumulate air miles on Star Alliance which has reached a healthy number now, but this one has an annual fee of 5000 which Axis is not willing to waive off even though I have a Burgundy account with them.
I am getting mailers for the below:
1) Upgrade the lifetime free Regalia to Regalia Gold for 2500 annual/recurring fee to be waived on reaching required spend limits etc.
2) Upgrade the lifetime free Legend to IndusInd Pinnacle for a one-time fee of 15000 against which equivalent amount vouchers will be given. No annual/recurring fees after the 1st year
Are either of these offers sensible enough to take up or should I just continue with Axis?
One question to members -
- What is a good SBI credit card and is there any Life-Time free SBI credit card available?
- What's the best way to get a SBI credit card?
