What hangs on your Rear view Mirror

This is a new thread I am starting about what is hanging on you IRWM.

Is it a doll, stuffed toy or a fine crafted fabric with religious symbol.?

I have a pecock blue fabric with embroidry in silver thread and our spirtual
KHANDA alongwith WAHEGURU written on it.

Now whenever I see in the mirror when overtaking,or just to see back side when some one is honking I also see the Khanda along with at the same time it gives me peace of mind and I take wahegurus name along with.

I also have stuffed baby elephant on the dash board and smile whenever I see him lying on its back and relaxing.

In one of the photos you can see a Team BHP cut out sticker through the rear view mirror, I have pasted on the rear glass.

I would advise my fellow Team Bhpians to follow the same and feel the difference in your driving, it will be free of stress. Please see the photos and enjoy them. Regards and Drive Safe....

re: What hangs on your Rear view Mirror

Absolutely nothing! It is a distraction and irritation as others have pointed it out. In fact, I hate having anything on the dashboard or anywhere within the vision of the driver (i.e. me). My dashboard is free of any object except the GPS navigator which I believe has enough benefits to compensate for the distraction factor.

re: What hangs on your Rear view Mirror

Interesting thread.
This is what hangs from my RVM. I haven't got dedicated pictures but some pictures where you can see the hawaiian garland. I plan to get these for all my family cars in India.

re: What hangs on your Rear view Mirror

Nothing for me too.

When I bought my first car in 1997, a friend gifted me a taddy to hang on my rear view mirror. Used it for a month and found quite distracting so removed it.

Never used anything after that.

No service center guys has done anything like that to any of my cars in last 13 years.

They hang the instruction till the car is in the service center for their own use and remove it before giving the car back to us.

For next service reminder, they paste a sticker on upper corner on the passenger side, which I instruct them not to do at the time of giving my car.

Thankfully, no service guy has ever done something like this to me, and even if they had done it, I would have removed this immediately. In fact, I don't even allow them to put the service reminder sticker on my car. I do remember all my service schedules very well and I do not need any reminder for this.

So yes, even the service reminders (stickers or other objects) can be distracting and I don't allow them too.
